when porkis capt inzi carried his team out of oval test, eng team was declared a winner. agreed with chautan, that there hv been many instances in world ckt, where pitches hv been worse than this kotla pitch. but no team has refused to play.

lankan batsman r responsible for the fiasco. nowadays, its fashion to score heavily on flat bed pitches. but if bowlers start getting help from the pitch, every1 start cursing curators for the 'bad' pitch.

I watched this game for about 7 overs when I said to people around me that this match/pitch is unprofessional and the game should be called off.
Compared to others, I hardly know cricket but it does not take rocket science to figure that players expect the picth not to behave so strangely. All the training that batsman have is based on certain premise that pitches behave with some consistency when it comes to bounce. This Delhi pitch is worse than any gully cricket pitch.
I am not for one moment sayign Sachin is a chicken,he is a great player,so are players like Jayasurya and to an extent Sangakkara and Dilshan is a gutsy innovative strokemaker,but if u want to call them chickens then what about sachin who sat the match out Mr chauhan?did he do it out of fear of being exposed?isnt sachin the one batsmen who used to squat in the pitch every time he got bowled and lbw to indicate the ball kept low and he wasnt bad enough to be bowled(thank god he isnt doing that no more,made him look like a sore loser)
my point is racism and antagonism against foreign teams is not to be used to cover up ones mistake..enough of that nonsense..Gavaskar has used that too many times to cover up Indias short comings compared to AUS Greatness who won 4 wcups,now that we r number lets work on winning more wcups and sustain the number one ranking by fair play and better system with good pitches...

This is the same tactic Ranatunga used to let that Chucker Murali play,and its a shame to see him bowl with so much technology as all the camera angles show he chucks every single delivery..
