Its a shame. No one is saying who is responsible for this stupid incident. If this how a pitch is prepared for international match, then some head should roll.

Sachin has played in all type of pitches.......... in fact the number of pitches he played is equivalent to your m -om played with your f a thar and others. AUTHOR :: RULER !! :-)
In last 8-10 months Delhi has hosted more than 10 matches including champions league, ODIs & Tests. During Champions league only pitch was looking like underprepared pitch. Even Aussie cricketers expressed their concerns over pitch. ICC committee also warned about the same. But still DDCA & BCCI scheduled matches at Kotla again & again, even when the country have so many brilliant stadiums with excellant wickets like in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai etc. But north indian lobby in BCCI just want to give profit to DDCA. Their hunger for money & ego of lobbigiri gave a conutry this shameful moment when match has to be abondened because of bad pitch & that to when 2011 World Cup is just one year ahead. It is a joke that in last two years Kolkatta & Chennai hardly had one or two games whereas Kotla had more than 10 matches. When the curators will get a time to prepare a proper international quality pitch?

the best cricket stadium (after Eden Garden) is in Mohali, Chandigarh.. which again is in north india..
it really horrible that match is called off. BCCI instead of wasting money on players they must give first preference to stadium facilities. to remove fog in morning and due in evening they must use sprays. and for bad pitches lyk this dey must see the variation b4 the day of match

Brother, fog and due are natural things. That's like asking BCCI to stop the rain from pouring.
Curator of the pitch deserves retirement without any pension or compensation.BCCI needs to prapare bowler/batsman friendly pitches so high scoring matches & murder of bowlers can be avoided .Take help from NZ/SA/ Aussie curators for pitch preparation. As a punishment donot play a match at kotla for 5 yrs.

apparently the curators have on more than one occasion raised the alarm that the kotla pitch is fresh and will take time to settle down.

corrupt DDCA needs treatment in every sense even Viru had taken up the issue and many Delhi junior cricketers have switched to other counties like Haryana etc.
Kindly do not quote us as saying officials stupid or foolish but let me tell you my view about why it has changed from the olden days. The most visible reason being those days sponsors did not care or invest in the cricketers and so cricketers and officials played with no external pressure but now you know... (no need to quote i feel)

they treat cricketers like filmstars, babies, securing their face and looks for the films, do not use literal meaning, pick up what i mean 2 say.
