Dont batsmen have enuf protection to battle it out in the pitch ?
It takes g-u-ts to battle it out, they shud have continued and shot out india for lessor score.
recently ponting got hit 3 times in west indies test match from uneven bouncers - did he cry bad pitch and call for match abandonement - they fought and won the damn match

DDCA must be ashamed that they are not able to prepare a good playing 22yards after so many years of experience behing them. BCCI /DDCA is like indian government which is not at all accountable. they will rule and administer and if anything GETS ADMINISTERED FEEL LUCKY if some fundamental thinga are not managed that is the bad luck of citizens. The spectators after all a part of the indian population which can take any fraud done on them and still carry on. HATS OFF TO THE BOSSESS IN DELHI . Hey guys,stop making assumptions.I was there at the ground today morning watching the match LIVE.I am not in favour or against any time, sply on an international level like this.
No doubt, picth was behaving awkwardly and cricket can be anyone's game so saying that India were in a strong position would be dubois as a similar situation could have been faced by Indians. So, I dont blame the captains for this match been abondoned but DDCA and the pitch makers who let the oppurtunity go after being awarded one of the international one day and still making amockery of it. No doubt, losers are not Lankans or Indian team or its management,loosers are us who spent good bucks and eluded our early morning sleep to see all this non-sense happening LIVE before us. I think, we should BOY-COTT seeing matches at Ferozeshah Kotla. Thats the BEST we can do, if we join hands together. But I know, this match would be forgotten like any other event as for cricket fans in India, this game is more of a religion than a game. So, better luck next time....

I WANT TO MAKE VALID POINT, WHY DIDN'T MATCH REFEREE/UMPIRE INSPECT AND APPROVE PITCH BEFORE MATCH START?
WHAT IS HAPPENED TODAY WAS BAD TREND AND IT NEED TO BE INVESTIGATE AND FIND THE ROOT CAUSE. OTHERWISE IN FUTURE WHENEVER TEAM HAD BAD START, LOSE EARLY WICKETS AND REALISE THE CHANCE OF LOSING MATCHE, THEY CAN EASILY BLAME ON PITCH AND ASK FOR ABANDONED.

Match was abandoned due to bad pitch. How BCCI sets the match without having the formal reports about the pitch. By cancellation of these type of matches players or BCCI are not getting affected, the affected persons are only we like audience they purchased the tickets for Rs. 250/-, 500/-, 1000/-, 2000/-. The match was simply canceled before its stipulated period. This match was abandoned after some few hours, I want to know whether the ground administration would be ready to refund theirs by detecting some amount? Definitely no, the goofy viewers are the real losers, losing their precious money and their precious time. So friends, I request you all dont go to the ground and uselessly waste your precious amount. If you want to see the match, watch it on television. Players or BCCI have no problem, players already received their HUGE contract amounts. BCCI got their amount from sponsors, but we have no sponsors all we have is our hardened money. PLS DONT WASTE MONEY.
