KS:

Correct. What else can you expect from a non-Indian umpire? That too from New Zealand of all the places. :)

Simon Taufel should have presided to show how umpiring is done. ;-)

Agreed that the umps were from neutral countries. But all said and done, don't u think the majority of decisions worked against the visiting team...again? I mean why ban Benn and not Haddin or Watson? Haddin had absolutely no right whatsoever to point his bat at Benn! And did u see Watson's reaction after claiming GAyle's wicket? That should have merited a far stricter penalty than a 15% fine!!!

icc D_A_L_A_L referees.
by vinay on Dec 21, 2009 12:31 AM  | Hide replies

they r biased n rac1a1 while giving punishment to ausis n others. they 'distribute' bans like distributing sweets to others whereas they gv merely 5-10 percent fines to ausis. ausis r the most revered cktrs in the books of icc n their agent referees.

Vinay:

Good cribbing. Indians have been distributed fines too in the past, but then bowling only 8 overs in an hour -- Hmmmm.....

But you are no doubt correct in assuming that no Indian should ever be touched by ICC. :)

i dont justify dhoni. he shud b punished but with a fine n not by banning him. thats too harsh.
had the same offence done by ausis they wudnt hv got fines also. they wud hv gone scot free with mere warning.

A win is a win. And a loss is a loss.

Else why is a number one test team celebrating a Test series win, and why is it struggling to win matches despite scoring 414 in an ODI? :)

WI - Wonderful !!!
by Senthil Kumar on Dec 20, 2009 04:24 PM

Chris & co. has done a wonderful job for the last 2 tests and both are matches which WI could have won but just too close. The team certainly made mockery of those who questioned it's test status by making Aussie sweat for a draw (in the last match) and gave some worrying moments until the last wicket in this match.

Kudos to the WI team and I believe that this series is a wonderful prospect for WI cricket regardless of the 0-2 result. I'm particularly impressed with the way Dowlin, Bharath , Deonarine and Nash batted. They are young and looks extremely promising and has the ability to bat long hours. Clearly the Aussies were worried at a point not knowing how to take the wicket of Nash and Deonarine. With Chanderpaul back in the action, the lineup of Gayle, Bharath , Dowlin , Deonarine, Nash , Chanderpaul and Bravo is certainly going to be an impressive lineup. On the flip side, WI need to sack Sarwan & Ramdin who have been continiously failing. Roach and Benn are real good young prospects for future and if WI manage to find one more all rounder it can certainly do them a world of good. The return of Marlon Samuels in the next year should do them world of good.

All the best WI Team and hats of the the man of the series CHRIS GAYLE , who is one of my favorite cricketers.
