First of all I congrajulate our team for winning the series and reach the number.1 spot. However, If our players play the same way with full spirit & enthusiasism, we cant beat Australia in Australia & win a Series there.

"The British press was sore about India's rise to the top and demanded an overhaul of the ranking system."

These idiots think only the Ashes mean anything in cricket and nothing else matters.
Hence they never won a World Cup and their team sucks both in ODI and Tests.
Even Bangladesh would comfortably defeat England in a Test.

Indian ascent augurs well for Test cricket

India needs to retain this spot and has to beat Australia in Tests as well and had recently lost one day series at home against it. Australia is hard to beat by India.

Australia had a tough time beating india in india in tests. Same way, it is a tough task to beat aussies in their homeland. Another factor is umpiring in aussie land which has been notorious. I guess aus is india's final frontier. If these guys are good, they will do it. If not, we got to wait.
