Indian PM is one of the most intelligent men in the world. He is a very well respected statesman. We are all proud of him. He should be awarded Bharat Ratna. He deserves his position.

When you read some thing like this:

"Incidentally, the British press was sore about India's rise to the top and demanded an overhaul of the ranking system."

It looks like the british still Cannot get over with their racist and colonial hangover. They think whites have the right to be supreme.

Internationally cricket is on the decline because of lacklustre performances from Australia,South africa and England.Indias so called ascent is a non event for many.Cricket lovers know that India is capable of beating teams only on flat tracks.

Ever heard of the word reason ?. It must be tough to digest your lords being pushed down to third position. Then of coz cricket becomes boring. When they come back on top, cricket will stops its decline, i guess.

if the bcci has so many funds that it can distribute a bounty of 25 lacs to each member of the cricket(absurd game)team, then why not sponsor some youngsters in sports rather than giving more to those who don't need it at all and those who are in anyway making money selling soap, desi tonics and the like

BCCI giving bounty is well justified as BCCI is cricket board and not government of India. Because of BCCI we are able stand some where at least in this sport. Or else it would also bel like other sports. Indian government should support other sports and make changes to our education system and promote sports.
