munaf should have been picked
by antonio valencia on Aug 18, 2009 05:26 PM  | Hide replies

munaf should have been picked ahead of parveen kumar as he performed far better than parveen and ishant in IPL with 16 wickets from 11 matches at an average of 15 runs whereas parveen's bowling average in IPL was 30 runs. ishant, nehra and parveen kumar will flop in tri-series and Champions trophy but RP will perform. only one gujarati has been picked for tri-series and CT.

scrap test match
by ganesh shyam on Aug 18, 2009 05:20 PM  | Hide replies

So its become like football.......1.5 hrs n no other version of that game.
Cricket promote T20 & 50 overs each Test match & scrap Test cricket...Boring like contract job for 5 days 9 to 5 with breaks...Better make Test for retired cricketers which includes Dravid, tendulkar,Laxman,Ganguly etc

Course of Time
by S Shrikanth on Aug 18, 2009 05:11 PM  | Hide replies

Hadlee has reasons to worry about the new form of cricket. But this is the course of time. Cricket like fashion has been changing, just like Indian women's dress - Saree to Suits, Jeans/top to 2-piece Bkni.

T20 is like Indian teen girl in 2-piece Bkni which sells like hot cake in the public. Test Cricket is like Indian woman in Saree which covers everything that Indian spectators want to see. :-)

So, its all market driven and cricket would favor the 115 crore market size that Coke and Pepsi would love to sell their junk.

who started T20 ?
by wizardo id on Aug 18, 2009 02:37 PM

india lagged behind in T20. the people who promoted T20 first were england and australia. when the format became a hit, thanks to a huge popularity in the sub continent, why are people like hadlee singling india out ?

this stinks of white supremacy and the band of white teams being sore at not being the bosses anymore.

We need to respect his views.Remember Sir Hadlee is in the league of Bradman,Sachin etc.He is a good freind of India too.If he feels game is losing respect ICC will stand up & maybe ban IPL too. Some comments from people who are sitting full time on tghe net without understanding the history of the game is silly & ridiculous.Comment sensibly not stupidly

The guy is a hypocrite. He toured India in 1988 only to get a world record. Just 1 year before, he did'nt play the World Cup, despite being the best bowler of his team

I completely disagree with Hadlee. Nobody losts interest in Test matches but still everyone love IPL. The fact is people from UK, USA, Aus, NZ can't accept the truth that they are loosing power to asian countries
