Dravid is the best choice for today\'s India cricket and he is fit for one day team squad and we will not be forget that expert call him the wall and that is true that\'s why we say OLD IS GOLD.
I don't think its bad idea to pick Dravid for Champions trophy. I believe for tours like 3 ond day series, 5 one day series anywhere, youngsters should be given chance. But for crucial tournaments like Champions trophy, best of the lot should be picked based on form, fitness and experience irrespective of individual's age
The younger lot including Rohit Sharma,Suresh Raina and Yusuf Pathan are sitting ducks against the moving and the short ball.Yuvraj is an inadequate in Tests. As such only Dravid stands tall.He may not possess power but he is the greatest Indian Test player

Vikas - Well Said.
Rohit Sharma may eventually make the grade and is talented to rectify any issues with short ball. However, Suresh Raina with his golf swing ( the only short he ever plays) is a surprise selection.
Yusuf is an unknown quantity. Dravid is experienced and intelligent. Definitely Helps!

Seejoy, did you watch the world 20-20, where our young team struggled against short ball? Rest is history!
It is india's interest to get the best guys out there in an tournament like this. Not the young and stupids that havent learnt their basics yet.

Yes, Indeed it was the right move by the selectors. At least Yongsters ( any team member ) will not guarantee his place in the Team. One who performs well will be in the Playing 11. Rahul Dravid is doing his Job sincerely & always keep his cool at any moment of time. He is one of the Experianced guy & knows his duties & responsibilities. Age is hardly matters as other ODI teams like Srilanka, Pakistan, Australiya who are playing with the same aged guys like Jayasurya, Misbah, Ponting, M. Hussy, (earlier - Hayden, Gilchrist, Warne, Mc-grath )

DO U KNOW Hayden, Gilchrist, Warne, Mc-grath ALL RETIRED WHEN THEY WERE PERFORMING VERY WELL UNLIKE DRAVID.

so sad to see that you have a very short memory..Dravid had only one bad season against aus in home....prior to that, he had smashed 92 out of 40 odd balls in england....it is Vengsarkar & Co's pro-mumbai attitude that hasdone bad to indian cricket
