Dude, if u think dravid cnt play 1 dayers, ask sum1 called mr. allan donald, he wil giv u d answer. Very recently in IPL wen most of d so called 1 day grts like ganguly n yuvraj wer struggling, dravid again showed wt he is capable of, n wen required he cn even score at a gud rate, n if even aftr all dis u think dravid is nt suited for 1 dayers den eithr u r biased who has a fixed mindset wch wil neva change or u knw nthn abt criket, learn criket 1st n den comment, u joker
Without any though Dravid is still India's Wall & always would be just on par with Sachin Tendulkar. He had lost his confidence last time after losing his captaincy whcih affected his performances further. But now after his IPL stint he looks more confident & would like to end his cricketing career in style. He should be persisted till 2011 world cup along with sachin which would bring in more stability to the batting order. At the same time he also needs to be handled well. For me he still looks to be more fitter than some of the current players.I am sure with Dravid & Sachin in the team, the youngster will surely use their expertise & help India win the world cup the way Steve Waugh & Shane warne helped Australis to do the same. If Sehwag & Gambhir Opens than Dravid should bat at No.5 with Sachin at 3, Yuvraj at 4 followed by Dhoni, Yusuf and the rest. Also at the same time, we should ensure that players like Rohit Sharma & Virat Kohli be included in the side which would help them learn from these greats.
It is nothing but a suicide by including Dravid in ODI. India never learn from past mistake. One of major reason or biggest cause for India lost last world cup is because of Dravid. Moreover there are lot of matches (ODI) India lost just because of him. It is not test matches he should be given privilege again. For ODI if India does not find anybody (although there are many talents waiting) other than Dravid, then India's Cricket is dead or BCCI is dead.
It must be a deal between Dravid and BCCI that after these tour he has to take retirement and make path to new player. I think this is good solution. Dravid will get a respectful retirement and BCCI can give chance to new players.
WITH ALL THE DUE RESPECT TO DRAVID,HE`S BEEN A TRUE LEGEND AND A GREAT FIGTHER...BUT HIS SELECTION AT THIS JUNCTURE IN THE INDIAN ODI TEAM...NOT ONLY IS A TOUGH CALL ON THE YOUNGTERS LIKE VIRAT KOHLI,ROHIT SHARMA,AJINKYA RAHANE ETC BUT ALSO GIVES OUR OPPONENTS THAT DRAVID IS BEEN SELECTED IN THE TEAM BCOZ DRAVID CAN PLAY THE SHORT BALL WELL...A LOT WAS TALKED N DISCUSSED ABT THAT WHEN INDIA LOST IN THEIR T20 WORLD CUP MATCHES AGAINST THE WI & ENGLAND....SO DOES HIS SELECTION IN THE TEAM SHALL JUSTIFY THAT THE YOUNG INDIAN BATSMEN CAN`T HANDLE THE SHORT BOWLING WELL?????IF YES THAT`S VERY DISAPPOINTING 2 KNOW...N THESE SO CALLED TENDULKAR`S OF 2MORROW....PLAYERS LIKE ROHIT SHARMA...SHOULDN`T BE PLAYING THE IPL BUT SHOULD WORK OUT ON THEIR PROBLEMS IN THE NCA...

Yes. Rohit Sharma has an ODI average of under 30. This clearly shows that he is not making his talent count; he is underperforming.
