It looks like a well balanced team . I am sure we cant ignore our seniors who carry rich experience specially playing in south africa . I am sure we have learnt our lesson from west indies tour and from 20/20 world cup setback .
Why they have included Dravid. The committee is lacking direction. Dravid is useless for onedays and too aged. His physical ability is also not upto the mark. With Nehra who is also aged 30 and dravid nearing 40 this team has no chance of putting up a decent show against any quality team. How long we can depend on 10 and dravid. Scrap IPL. prepare fast tracks. Give importance to Ranji league thereby create a pool of talents or else the cricket in India will be vulnerable.

Dravid is a class by himself. His inclusion will also give youngsters a learning opportunity. Am sure he would prove the critics wrong and come out in flying colors.

I am at one with Raja. Dravid in his prime time could not find his place in the one day team and the captain Ganguly managed his selection (as the then friend !!)as mainly a wicket keeper than a batsman. Now an old Dravid found his place in young indian one day team as a specialised batsman. Every thing is possible in India and this inclusion episode of Dravid is no way different.

lol That is the joke of the day..
Prime time..Ganguly kept him..therefore he was the best batsman..in ICC rankings..
If I am not mistaken u r talking about 2003 world cup (time ) team. Just take Dravid Out and replace it with any player of ur choice playing at that time and see how the team looks like.
By the way ask rediff to award you the joke of the month award...
I hope Dravid wont play sleepy slow knocks in ODIs this time and will play according to the situation. Dravid is a class batsman and deserved a comeback.

What is Suresh Raina doing in team??? Abishekh Jhunjhunwala or Cheteshwara Punjara would have been a much better choice....

Cheteshwar's batting style is test cricket type. Better first he get a chance in test match..

No doubt Dravid is a class batsman in the Test matches as good technically sound players consume some time on the wicket by playing within V circle and thereafter gradually they come out to attack the bowler. But in one day you have limited overs where Dravid can not wait for long to find his rythim before going for attack.

Really!? That is why he averages at 40 and has scored more than 10, 000 runs...first know about cricket and then comment. He is India's best ever finisher in one-dayers alongside Yuvraj and Dhoni...He was dubbed as test batsman but he rose up and scored more than 10k runs in one-dayers. They said he is useless for Twenty20...but he proved his worth there too...you just can't write him off...he doesn't have much talent..but he makes that up with his committment, hardwork and selfless attitude...that is why he deserves all that he gets...a superb batsman and a wonderful human being...a true role model for any aspiring young sports person...
