God of Greater Things

It's inevitable. Everytime, Sachin makes a record, there will be cries of people 'Sachin is only interested in making records'. Tell me, which one of us is not mortal or human? Which batsman in the world will not wish to score a hundred when he reaches the nineties? Which bowler in the world would not like a hat-trick when he has taken two of two?
Let's put things in perspective. Ok. Sachin took 17 balls to make 7 runs. Fine. But what is his strike rate at the end? Did he or did he not make up for his slow batting? Is it the contention that from the very first ball, he has to be zigging along at 120 per 100? When he was out, India needed LESS than the average asking rate of 7 RPO, much less, at a very very gettable 6 RPO.
However, having said all of this, he certainly could have eschewed that extravagant shot of his when just 19 runs were needed and plodded along at a run a ball...
So what's the conclusion? It's this. Sachin is no God but as human as any of us. Let us not grudge him his ambition of breaking records while batting like a phenomenon. And he displays his frality also by getting out just when a few more runs are needed. That does not make him a selfish or a not-for-the-team man. It just shows that he has his achilees heel like all of us. BUT, he is far far far far above the madding crowd, an icon, whose feats it may well neigh be impossible to repeat in cricketing history for decades to come.

GOD-highly misunderstood
by LG on Nov 06, 2009 07:50 PM

All living forms in this world are part of GOD---GOD resides in everything. Soul takes different forms through the cycles of births and deaths in order to purify itself and be with GOD finally.
Depending on the net positive result of Good Karma and Bad Karma a soul takes higher-level form. Finally, when a soul gets the human body, it gets a chance to attain the highest level of purification and get liberated from the cycles of births and deaths and merge with GOD—like a drop of water merging with ocean and becoming ocean itself. In this context, anyone soul in human body, that has attained the highest level of purification, is sometimes referred as god.

So in my view, Sachin is the god of the cricket in similar sense; he has reached that highest level of purification through his dedication, love for his country, humbleness, and desire less Karma for many years.

It is wrong to think that GOD makes us poor or rich, successful or failure. He either helps us nor create obstacle in our path or destroy us. God is kind to all. It is one’s Karma (Past & Present) that decides how a soul with its present body live or going to live in this world.

If anyone interested in knowing more about GOD, learn thoroughly about Sanatan Dharma--usually known as Hinduism.

Bradman's (GOD of Cricket) Message

Just don't forget what the God of cricket said "Tendulkar just plays like me". So fools without knowledge about cricket, stop harassing this maha purush who was the first to fight fire with fire in Indian cricket.

Sachin is still a perfomrer!

My dear besharmi Indians! How can you force someone who is still performing to retire?

There is BCCI and MS Dhoni and possibly Gavaskar who are in a better position to advise Our Sachin. And all ugly Sachin haters just get lost... he will continue to play until he plays well and is fit.

Just check the last 2 year stats before you comment on his performance.

Look at Atul's message and then comment.

Sachin is great
by Ashish Shah on Aug 09, 2009 11:07 AM

Not only Indian cricket but also world cricket has found many talented cricketer who are more talented that sachin tendulkar. but this players were not able to reach the height where sachin reached. the simple reason behind sachin,s achievement is that he has very steady head. when a person got so much reputation, ytou should be down to earth person. i thing biggest problem with other cricketrs are they were not able to digest the attention they got from media and public.
