Re: Re: What;s the prob @ Chalte jao? by Solnishka on Aug 07, 2009 09:29 PM In the last 2 years, here are some of the stats
ODI Sachin Tendulkar - 1633 runs in 37 matches at 46.65 average with 2 centuries and 12 fifties. Only players in the Indian team to have better averages are Dhoni (who plays towards the end of the innings and is not out many times) and Sehwag. Only players in the Indian team who scored more runs are Dhoni (63 matches), Yuvraj (61 matches) and Gambhir (54 matches).
Test Sachin Tendulkar - 1706 runs in 20 matches (37 innings) at 51.69 average with 5 centuries and 9 fifties. Only players in the Indian team to have better averages are Laxman and Gambhir. Only player in the Indian team who scored more runs in Laxman (49 more runs from 4 more innings).
Until now people only had the suspicion that Sachin plays for records. But after this statement that he wants to play until he can make 15K runs, this suspicion has become a reality. Thanks Sachin for clarifying these doubts.
Sehwag is at least a 100 times better batter than Sachin and has hit two 300 plus scores while Sachin has hit none. But Sehwag never talks in such an arrogant manner. The main thing is that Sachin knows that as long as another ghaatii Pawar is incharge, it is the case of Sainya_bhaye_kotwal_to_ub_dar_kahe_ka?
you guys are there to crticize.only,as a human being he has his own limitations ...think about the days when you all jumped, clapped and felt proud as he made india proud , everytime he walked in the field with his bat ...how your hopes reached to its cresendo....and dude about helping talents and poors...think what you have done under your capacity to help people around you.....which you can afford.....to work hard and earn money is no crime dude !!

unfortunately, yes, because dhandakar has played 5 worldcups for our country and still has not contributed to single victory.
he's rather hidden behind failures of chappel as a coach. remember chappel can only influence 5%, what happened to the 95% ???
by telling he wants to score 15k runs and win a worldcup(which sachin will never see in his playing career) he only intends to drag his feet around the game. he has to be pushed outside.
i dont think dhandakar will ever get to play the hostile bowling of today's cricketers rather he's delving and living in the past.

You only speak of Tendulkar's failure. But you are forgetting that Tendulkar has failed, all other players have failed as well. You mention the fact that in 5 world cups he played, India did not win even once. But you forget to mention his contribution to India's journey to semis in 1996 and finals in 2003. When India lost crucial matches its not that only Tendulkar failed and rest of the team played briallantly. Every body else failed as well. And dude when Tendulkar scores runs they get added to India's total. Tendulkar's has been a loyal servant to Indian cricket for last 20 years and is still contributing to India's successes.

beerbalu - whether you like it or not, sachin is a dhanda naai. only selfish person in our team.
there are rogu es like harbhajan and yuvraj...and srisanth
What is the prob brothers? Anyone in Our Great Country who, rises to the top is always scrutinized, maligned, abused and at the end crucified (eg Mahathma Gandhiji). This Mahathma slogged all His life for Indians (united about 40 crores of us and fought out Independence for us and showed us Light and what did we do to Him?) and there is another Young lad who must have been vexed with the life with such miserable creatures around and thought it to be prudent to lay down his life than live with these creatures. The Icon is Bhagath Singh. From the lives of these two Greats I just infer that Our Land somehow wll be developing always.
And down with your socialist attitude (beggar's attitude). Why the hell does anyone has to give away his hard earnings. People ...... slog and make money. Who stopped you? Ya ....... and if you wish to spend on others then please do so! I dont want to repeat the Grasshopper's story. And this story is really true for Indians. I know I will be showered with loads of curses for this. But, truth is always bitter. But again ....... SATHYAM EVA JAYATHE!!!

Woah woah woah Solnishka. Please don't drag Mahatma Gandhi into this. Everyone has different opinions on him and I surely have a totally different opinion on him. So, let's not generalize here. Everyone sees things in their own perspective. You may be right, you may be wrong. Doesn't make everyone else wrong if you are right. I personally feel Sachin is one of the best things to happen to Indian cricket, if not the best. Yes, people lately speak about Sachin and money-making in the same breath; but I like to see it a little differently. I let scores and performances be the measuring stick of people. If his record speaks for itself, then no one should have an issue about him being on the field for another 20 years. If his records start tumbling and he only keeps dragging himself into retirement (a la Kapil Dev where they had to give him the wicket to surpass Hadlee), then he should gracefully retire himself on a high (a la Steve Waugh). That's all.

I ma just suggesting that if you don't like him there is nothing wrong in that and if we like him, it should also be fine. We are not enemies and so we ought not use such words as it is just an argument.
