So what i don't give a crap what you say. I don't say that Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, and Laxman are no good but I say Sachin is more special than any of our present cricketers and former cricketers. Kapil Dev was good and so was Sunny Gavaskar but Sachin Tendulkar is more special to us Sachin fans. I am a die-hard SRT fan and will remain so. If people like you abuse Sachin I will answer these idiots back just like any other Sachin fans. Now get lost.

Abbey ChUTyeee....Ind won world cup in 1983, 6 guys from Same Team played including the same Captain...Did they won it in 1987 again...?? 3/4 guys from world cup winning team played again in 1992 ...Did they in again...?? He really didn't need to care because he did the right thing by concentrating on cricket and money automatically came and he still loves cricket. Now he doesn't need money even if he retires his grand children can eat with the money he has and so many businesses running he doesn't need to play any more but he is playing because he cares for scoring runs and money comes later. I don't think he would have run behind wisdon and told them, please please take my interview and give me some money, I am dying hungry. Wisdon would have contacted, Sachin would have complied and If you get moeny for that what is wrong in that. Sachin wouldn't have started bla bla bla..... they would have asked the question and sachin answered according to that. Its not called bragging.

is that he is not a good cricket player by himself..It is the other way around, the other way is that all the credit whatever he has achieved should to go our team captians.. Who are/were captain during sachin and these people are able to extract the best from Sachin. Otherwise why he failed to perform in his captaincy??? He made runs with more than 50 average as captain. Who said he flopped? He was highest run scorer and MOS of 99 Aus tour where India lost by 3-0 under his captaincy.

Because he was captaining a team which was on 8th position in ICC ranking. However he was never a good captain so he left the captaincy.

The other way around he can not take care and in real words does not care other indian cricketers.. Look up the past if he has encouraged and introduced any young talent in the team. If it is true then it simply indicate he is very selfish and do'nt care anything expect himself...

@akshay there r 2 things- his performance under his own captaincy n team performance under his captaincy. team could nt do well under his captaincy so he resigned. his own performance ws nt tht bad. fact is he could nt get enough support when he ws captain. in 1996-97 other senior players did nt gv him support n in 99 saurav n rahul was out of form n thts y india lost 5 test continueously(3 wid aus n 2 wid SA).

Are you back tracker.. Just above you accepted that he was never good as captain and now back tracking from that... If he was not good then naturally some one has to lead the team and that is decided by the slectors and just by sachin alone..poor guy.

Sachin promoted Dhoni as captain and now see where India stands in world cricket. He told Dhoni to send Raina on 3 during asia cup and we saw what Raina can do.

If you are a captain then you can approach young talent as ganguly and dhoni did.. But the fact is that he was afraid that he can lost all the charisma if some new young talent some played very well.

Akshay, Whatever you are saying is not true!! Ganguly did not select Yuvi, Kaif and others selectors did that and they performed and then Ganguly backed them... All the palyers have always told that sachin is really helpful and very nice person. No body has ever criticized him for that till now so what you are saying cannot be true. Ganguly was asked once if he would like to take batting advice from Viv Richards then he told he has greatest batsman in the world in his team so he doesn't need to go somewhere else for advice. It shows how much support sachin would have given Ganguly as only then Ganguly could show such confidence. Sachin did not except captaincy and suggested Dhoni's name for captaincy, if he was selfish then he could have taken captaincy now when you have better players but he didn't so that. Sachin has scored with the almost withsame average under different captains like Azhar, Ganguly, Dravid, Kumble, Dhoni and himself so you can't say that sachin could score only because captains extracted best from him. All the young players have always told that sachin helps them very much so you can't say he has not helped youngsters. Yuvi is playing with sachin for 7-8 years and when asked about his 3 role models then he told sachin, sachin and sachin. if sachin would not have helped him then he would have not said that. Dhoni's role model is also sachin. Sehwag's role model sachin. now how can you say that he had not helped them.

I was thinking very much like the mastero. Test cricket will survive the test of times.
Then, you have test cricket for perfection of the game, T20 for excitement and aggression. There where does 50 over match stand?? It will have a hard time to find a place between these forms. Hence, I think the future of 50 over cricket is in fact in trouble.

To save ODI remove powerplay rule, bring back red bowl in ODI so that we can see good contest between specialist openers against new bowl like test matches.

yes, test cricket is still relevant. 50 over ODI matches dont make any sense nowadays. Although T20 doesnt say a lot about a player's skill.
