Dravid in tests plays as a slip but Dravid in out field I remember was equally out standing in one dayers aganist Srilankan tour of two serris back when he was always kept in square third man fence to keep Sanath in check and Sanath always used to check his shots.Dravid is a well known wicket keeper and due to this he has aquired the skill of least reaction time due to concentration.Later on only he become a wicket keeper in ODI.It is also a pity that Dravid should have played as keeper in the second test and we could have taken Mishra as a second spinner like Kiwis played Patel
Rahul Dravid's contribution to Indian cricket team is phenomenal. Just look at his average out of India as proof. If there were to be a qualitative analysis of the 50s and 100s scored by batsmen, Dravid would score highest among all contemporary batsmen. Every time India is in a crisis, he has stood like a WALL and saved India the blushes. To add to that, he will create a virtually unbreakable record in catching and will score 12,000 plus runs to boot. All at 50 plus average. I salute this humble and technically superior Indian hero!!

No doubt over Dravid's capabilities.He's truly outstanding. Honesty doesn't have any value in our country.After England tour 2 yrs back,he honestly resigned and in turn he was forced to sit out of the team.Injustice,what else?
The Wall in batting and the Bucket in catching. Great show Rahul.
Catches win matches and India has actually started winning consistently only in the last 10 years or so and no wonder it co incides with our strong middle order (Dravid, tendulkar, Laxman)and now strong opening (Sehwag/Gambhir)plus now a wonderfully aggressive Captain in Dhoni plus a great pace attack of Zak/Ishant.
However, as they say "catches win matches", so we people like Dravid have helped.

I PUT RAHUL DRAVID AS NO.1 PLAYER.ITS BECOZ OF HIS RESILIENT BATTING IN INDIA AS WELL AS OVERSEAS WE WON LOT OF TEST MATCHES AND ODI. WHEN CHIPS ARE DOWN HE HOLD INDIAN INNINGS TOGETHER FOR MANY MANY MANY MANY YEARS. ITS RAHUL DRAVID - MAN FOE CRISIS.MOST OF GANGULYS SUCESS BECOZ OF DRAVID.ITS NOT SACHIN IS A GREAT PLAYER,BUT THE WAY RAHUL HANDLED TOUGH SITUATIONS AGAINST STONG OPPONENTS IN DIFFERNT CONDITIONS MAKES DRAVID NO.1 UNDOUBTEDLY. Statistics can tell u the story. Sachin is way ahead of him in number of runs and in number of centuries. Nobody can ever surpass Sachin. Dravid was able to survive only because he had Sachin and Sourav playing at the other end always.

I would put Dravid ahead of Gavasker because of his superior technique and the fact that Dravid's innings have won matches for India.

Sehwag,not really convinced.Even though he has 2 triple centuries on his name,not a reliable candidate for tests.
It is good that Indians are catching all the records. Soon all the records will be with us. JAI HO. Rahul congrats, at least Sachin will not eye this record of yours. Batting records for Sachin only dear.

This game is not for ladies poor intelligence so please go back to your kitchen or something. For your information, eating away balls, defending and not losing wicketis one of the most valuable parts of test cricket. The other team HAS to tak all 20 wickets to defeat you, and so the value of every wicket is important. Even if india loses 19 wickets, it can still draw the match. This is why Rahul has been so valuable for Indian cricket and why he is called THE WALL. He stands like a wall between india and defeat and frustrates the hell out of opponent bowlers, keeping them in the field and wearing them down, and making life easier for other batsmen. Every Indian must be grateful that a legend like Dravid has played for the indian team.

i strongly support you manish....bandar kya jaane heere ki keemat ko...its not matter of runs its a matter of patience which other doesn't have. india won't get such batsman in future.Its easy to get a batsman like sehwag,dhoni but its very difficult to get a batsman like Dravid ,sachin and yuvraj..No one in the world who plays Dravids square cut and drive..The beauty of play and beauty of shots only by Rahul Dravid in cricket world...I love Dravids cricket and i want him to break every record in cricket.. miss aishwarya. i think yiu don't know A B C D of cricket. so plz go to someone cricket specailist & ask him to teach you A B C D of cricket & then write something about ciicket & great players like rahul dravid, sachin, ponting, kallis, etc. And and and, for ur kind information, in test cricket, saving wickets is much & most important thing for a batsman & Dravid is world's no. 1 batsman in doind that. he always stands between india's loss. thats why he is known as THE WALL & MISTER DEPENDABLE. Dravid ensures other indian batsmen in team that u don't worry about fall of wickets on other end bcoz he is ther to protect wickets on other side. AND HOW U KNOW THAT GADHA CAN BAT FOR 150 BALLS FOR SCORING 10 RUNS? ARE U DOING I THIS? ACCORDING TO ME, YES U CAN & U R DOING THIS BCOZ U HAVE VERY GOOD KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THIS GADHA.

you people dont know what test match all about. and how much did sehwag scores in this series. I think sehwag scores ball to ball right. and did u checked how much dravid had scored in this series 314 runs. its all matach winning or saving. what about sehwag
