I think team should decide about test captaincy in the absence of Dhoni. Sehwag is not at all a right person as a captain. He is not maintaing the fielders properly. This was clearly seen in the last test match. Luckily we were able to manage to a draw otherwise we would have surely lost the match because of the poor captaincy by Sehwag. I feel Laxman should be a better choice.
If the current Indian team is not going to be the world champions in Test cricket, the chances are that Indian would never be able to reach the summit in the future. If Sachin, Dravid, Laxman and Sehwag can't do it, then who can??

You people just don't seem to understand! Dhoni is a tribal boy first and last! Dhoni grew up in his birthday suit till the age of 10 years. It was only after the first sprouting of hair around his junk that he started to wear a diaper made from banana leaves. Ever since he started playing Cricket on the International scene, the tight fitting clothes have been the bane of his existence! From his pants riding up in places only his best friend and "night-mate" Raja the male chimp had access to, to the protective gear that clamps on his junk like his best friend and "night-mate" Raja the male chimp's rough palms would, playing Cricket fully clothed has been nothing short of an ordeal for Dhoni! So he is taking a break and probably swinging on the trees of Jharkhand with his pri-mates ........ in his birthday suit again ........ so give him a break! He will be back soon, all refreshed and ready to take on a new onslaught of tight clothing for our entertainment!!

I agree with you. Dhoni may be fit for T20 captaincy as it gets over so quickly that his faults are not visible. But in Test matches he is a no no... for me.. I will say this even if he wins five more matches.
