Wrong and pickel Selection
by kumon on Sep 23, 2008 06:15 PM  | Hide replies

I would like to see Robin Uthappa and barrington Rowland, played for Karnataka Ranji, You should provide them oppurtunity, When Uthappa was song in his Batting, in England tour, They (dhoni & men) never encourgaed to open the ininings, probably one or two only, not a consisitent like Rohit Sharma (failed in many case). But still he is on and uthappa is off. Sorry to see this, Talented Uthappa will next and future Tendulkar in Cricket history.
Plz give him oppurtunity and see that what will happens. In IPL uthappa is not been encouraged to hit, bcz absence of tendulkar, not opening the innings regularly, that made to lose talent, still is very aggresive, Hitting Breet lee for six straight at MCG is wonderfull to watch. Not too many batsman had shown this.

I agree with you.. Uthappa is a talented player.. should be given more chances.
But don't compare him with Sachin..

he got ample chances along with asnodkar in d recent india A tour.
he failed miserably, so he's not in the team.
be reasonable do u even follow cricket??
yousuf pathan played a blinder of 148 when india was 171-7 and posted a 305 on the board does he deserve to sit out?
there are many players now in the pool everyone will have their chance, but its a pity when someone's in to form he sits out...till he goes out of touch.
well so is indian cricket and so be it!!!!

No hahahahaha,
Come on, He is very good feilding also, Remember runout at World T20 champion, and bowling at bowlout at T20 league matches in South Africa, You need to encourage him in bowling option, Why? K.srikanth did magic figure bowling at windies at home and certainly he will be allrounder list. Provide hime oppurtunity to him and he will perform like a rocket.

What was the performance of Robin Uthappa in Bangladesh Kitply Cup, What was his performance in Asia Cup, I think Robin Uthappa is suitable only for T20 Matches rather than ODI's and Test Matches bcoz of the qualities that U mentioned other than that Robin Uthappa does not deserve a place in Indian Team in ODI's and Test Matches and same is the case with Irfan Pathan and Sreesanth.........

There was enormous re ordering in the batting line up, one match in and one match off is the price to perform him, Consistency is had been achieved, if one match fails, he is off for 2 matches, re experiment fails, call him to perform was the case my friend in Indian cricket.

Uthappa failed in the recent matches he played. If he performs he always has a chance to make a comeback.
Barrington has not done much recently. He was good a couple of years ago. Should have got more A team chances then to prove his mettle.
On current form neither of them should make it.

Good that Saha gets a look in
by IbrahimSivaramakrishna Braganza on Sep 23, 2008 06:11 PM

Its good to see Wridhiman Saha in the A side. Wondering why Parthiv is being persisted with. If they want to have him as a batsman because of the runs he has scored, good. But not as a wicket keeper. Its time to look at some others.

Yuvi? They did not include him for the tests in Sri Lanka and did not have a good time with the bat in the One-dayers. Not sure on what basis he will be included or rather do not think he will be included.

I AM PHYSICALLY ATTRACTED
by rosy on Sep 23, 2008 05:59 PM  | Hide replies

have had a few serious relationships but they have not worked out for several reasons including family opposition and a difference in lifestyle and perspective. Currently, I am seeing a guy from my office. He has not made any commitment. Ilove him a lot. Is there a future for this relationship? Will he commit or do I have to make the first move? Will I have a love or an arranged marriage

it's not fair to judge a player on the basis of just 1 One Day match or a domestic season, he has been a prolific scorer for Bengal forlast two seasons

Jaydev Shah, son of Niranjan Shah,BCCI Secretary is included in 'A' team as vice captain
by sajin on Sep 23, 2008 05:32 PM  | Hide replies

It is ironical to see that a person having an average below 30 is drafted into the Indian 'A' squad as vice captain just because of being son of BCCI Secretary. India, where talented cricketers are in struggling to get a chance to indian team where this official 'interference' has happened.

Here are the Stats of Jayadev Shah.....

Batting-
First Class - 27.77
List A - 29.07

Bowling-
First Class - 52.90
List A - 144.50

I wish these could have been reverse...

Jaydev's only talent is that he is the son of BCCI's secretary. Niranjan Shah is trying to establish his son in cricket before leaving his office.
