Once he was a Demi-god now he is turning into a Demon, Short Goonda. He should retire ASAP and keep his good name intact.

Are they all progressive..... don't just talk rubbish, just let them play their games (Cricket or Any other sports) and you enjoy if the need be not bashing others or praising others gonna progress the country but doing ur bit does.

the difference between our senior cricketers and junoirs
by varun on Sep 08, 2008 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

Look at sachin, dravid or ganguly they might fail and be out of form but then they've never dis-respected the game nor have they let the fame get into their heads. There is never a lack of effort from these gr8 cricketers and that's the gr8ness of them. Look at how hard ganguly worked to get back into the indian team once he was dropped. He could have easily given it away becoz he had already achieved so much but he wanted to play for india and hence came back. It's that hunger that is lacking from our juniors like yuvraj, rohit and a few others. Yuvraj may be as talented as anyone in the world but his attitude towards the game is pathetic. The fab four have had just one bad series and we're jumping on them them to exit the game. Just remember the contribution of them in the last one year
series win against eng
series win against pak
a test match win against aus in perth.
the big question one has to ask is
will rohit make as many runs as dravid against quality attacks
will yuvraj make as many runs as sachin against good bowling attacks
can raina of today ever play like ganguly at his peak.
the only hope for india in the future in test cricket are sehwag and gambhir and dhoni as a captain( as a batsmen he has not done anything gr8 yet)

Emotions and tempers run high in India.

How many opportunities have been given to youngsters like Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina and how much they were persisted with by BCCI, even if they failed a few times?

If the five seniors are dropped and either Sehwag or Dhoni is made captain of test side and if the talented youngsters like Yuvraj, Rohit Sharma, Raina, Manoj Tiwari etc are persisted with despite failures (which has been the case with the present day senior players for the last 10 years), I am sure that India will be uncontested No.2 at World Level within 2 years. With little luck and more hard work they can be a constant scare for Australians as well.

Without giving them a fair run, there is no point at all in anyone imagining things about either the superiority of the seniors or the lack of credentials or commitment from youngsters.

how can u say that the seniors have not performed for the last 10 yrs. Can u prove it with numbers? They've won a test match in all countries except nz and that in itself is a record. Look at the icc rankings despite our success in odi we're ranked 5 but in test cricket we have been no.2 for a long time. Of all the teams in the world we've the best record against australia and the fab four have played a gr8 role in that. Don't make such foolish statements blindly. No body can stay in the team without performing for 10 yrs. Selectors are not as foolish as u

Loose the obsession for cricket
by rishi reddy on Sep 08, 2008 08:16 AM

Cricket is the most popular game in India by a diistance..but, I hope that people start giving more importance to games like field hockey, basketball and soccer. I hope that the sports administrations are paying attention to the attitude of the BCCI and the plight of other sports. We as Indians should loose our dislike to getting dirty and bloody, indulging in contact sports. My two cents..
