by RK on Sep 03, 2008 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

only reason we follow cricket is coz we dont hav any other sports to latch on to on an international level...

The international public either dispise cricket else r unaware of such a game..

soon its gonna be limited to south asia itself..
indians look for a change...

The beautiful Game rules...

damn....80% of viewers watching it must be from south asia...for cricket to succeed in long term, it should be geographically spread out

Another idiot in lankan team like our much hyped Dhobi sorry Dhoni
by critics on Sep 03, 2008 08:08 PM

He needs 500 overs in ODI to get Indian wickets... moron mendis you will have only 10..and in ur tenure of 10 overs..you have to prove ur skill.... admit thefact that Indians picked him well in ODI series.

Yuvi lacks technique
by Rameez on Sep 03, 2008 07:44 PM  | Hide replies

Some people say sehwag does not the techniques. But it is not a joke to make triple century and remain the top batsman. I think Yuvi lacks the technique as his consistency is dismal. He is busy in commercial assignments and publicity.

Right Rameez. Not only make 2 triple centuries but last 8-9 centuries are all above 150 scores. That is to say that if shwag scores a ton he keeps on going upto 150/200 and twice 300. Really amazing. Not only that he kills the confidence of the bowlers by scoring at brisk rate. He is too good

Still noone will trust Sehwag's technique
by True Indian on Sep 03, 2008 07:38 PM  | Hide replies

Self proclaimed experts will watch his feet movement and ignore the variety of shots he has
Scorers will check his consistency and ignore his single handed match winning skills
Its a pity that a snail paced defending cricketer like Dravid is called a better technique player than a dashing daring hitter of the ball. Cricket lingo needs an update

you are so right ... Test cricket is not about winning or losing.

Test cricket is about boring spectators to death with slow batting.

Even though Tendulkar now plays boring cricket, during his prime he played some aggressive cricket.

But Tendulkar plays for himself.

then why do you think sachin gets the loudest cheers to date wherever he goes out to bat. By the way most of Sehwag's gr8 inngs have not resulted in wins for india. So going by the same criteria that we judge sachin it'll be safe to say that sehwag is also not a match winner. why have different yardsticks for different people.

Sehwag is a delight to watch
by Chris on Sep 03, 2008 07:11 PM

No batsman can play like Sehwag in the whole world. He is a great delight to watch and his game does not change whether he is at 10, 75, 97 or 297. No other Indian has got to that last figure but him.
