Actually, Vengarsarkar has done world of good to all the seniors by dropping Dravid, Ganguly & Laxman from the ODI team and even Tendulkar has the power to take rest from ODI team whenever he wants. This has eased the pressure from them from scoring fastest 50's and run a ball century in ODI's and they are all elegant batsman and technically sound players to be in the comfort zone at the TEXT Level. Only one player who has to be dropped is only Mr.Ganguly. Because he is not match fit and fabulous four has to retire in the following manner. 1. Sourav Ganguly.(Danger zone) 2. V.V.S.Laxman & Rahul Dravid (Under Scrutiny) 3. Sachin Tendulkar (has to retire gracefully on his own if he didn't perform)
If Sourav did not perform in the first two test, then Virat Holi and Rohit Sharma will come in to the Side. But all the other three players combindedly did not perform, then it will be a problem for this spineless new selectors.

dude rewind your worthless brains to the Australian Series it was the fab four that scored consistently to keep the indian challenge alive...dude geoff says they were not a force they once were they arent superman to be powerful forever they have modified their game to suit their age...i do accept there are lot of deserving youngsters waiting in the ranks but i think they have done enough to retire gracefully when they want!!!

Shrikkanth is stupid. I hope he reads these words and does some serious soul-searching. He's the one who said during 2003 WC in SA that Ganguly should bat at #14. That was 5 and half years ago. (The spineless idiot then even went and apologized to Gangu). Today, we are facing the best team in the world and he has brought Ganguly back into the team? I have nothing against Gangu. Problem is, India needs to replace these 5 guys and Vengy was on the right course - replace one by one. It's unfortunate for Gangu that was the first one chosen towards that cause. Gangu should have thought for Indian cricket and allowed the selectors to gradually work the solution between 2007 and 2009. He instead kept making statements that he was still in his prime. Shrikkanth being a spineless idiot didn't want to offend his supporters and quickly drew Gangu back into the team. Shame Shame Shrikkanth! He should have replaced one more of the remaining 4 during this season and that way ensured a smooth passage of the baton from one generation to the next.
