While we rejoice the "break-even" phenomenon in the Indian cricket after so many years of One day cricket and such a lot of money flowing all around with regards to cricket, would just like to know..
What are the win vs losses percentage of other ODI playing nations.. especially the ones above India in the table?

Can we have a simple revenue vs wins comparison of BCCI( year-wise for BCCI in this regard as well?
This can be backed with the same statistics from "Cricket Australia" or "Pakistan Cricket Association" or even the Caribbean Cricket Board... South Africa would be an unfair comparison in this regard one opines..

Thank God for the Minows in cricket.
If miniows like Bangaladesh, UAE, Hongkong, Irland, Netherland, Canada, Walesh, Nabibia, Kenya, even Zimbabwe...etc this equation would have been telling you a quit a sorry story.
It applies for Sri-Lanka as well.

With England on the Downhill, will soon have lost more matches than it has won, with difference only 1(one). All Time Records put India to 6th now, and will be 5th if India wins atleast two matches of remaing three in Asia Cup. However India Ranks Third in Most Wins after Australia and Pakistan.

Ganguly was a useless old bugger who did more politics than playing cricket. He not only flops in batting but is one of the worst fielders - this would demotivate the entire team when a captain cannot field well. In contrast to captains who were good fielders like Azar, Dhoni ..

Gross mistake in calculation of WIN %
by Jatinder Bir Singh on Jun 30, 2008 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Rediff percentage calculators...
Kindly learn to decide numerator, denominator and then calculate percentage. IF THERE ARE MATCHES WITH NO RESULT, THEY SHOULD BE EXCLUDED WHILE CALCULATING WIN % while for TIE it will be included in denominator. I HOPE YOU WILL LEARN TO CALCULARE WIN% NOW...

Pyare Sardarji,

This is how the normal %ages are being worked out. How can you exclude "ties" by the way. Even, the cancelled matches cannot be excluded, coz officially, they were the played matches.

Any case, the win/lose ratio has to be on the "total matches played" basis and not on some "arrived" number.

Sir, I think you miss the 25th year celebration of our world cup victory. Former captain Kapil Dev proudly announces the entire team learned how to win a match from Sunil Gavaskar whom the young generation cannot think fit for any version of limited over match.......... forgot about T20. The record provided is really a very very long waited one. But donot under estimates anybody. The record is a combined effort by all who played and playing for INDIA.May be in the early stages we won rearly, but loss on that time was a way of learning for current ones.
