Harbhajan Singh is an arrogant abusive brat!!
by Bhasmasur on Jan 28, 2008 09:26 PM  | Hide replies

I think Harbhajan Singh would get a 3match ban and that would be in the best interests of Indian cricket...

He is a non-performer who has been warming the benches for 6 years now...i think we need to look at Pragyan Ojha and Piyush chawla.....

You are absolutely right. Aussies are Saints, just go on and worship them.

But don't forget it was Aussies who brought sledging in cricket.

It was an Aussie, who bowled underarm in an International Cricket match.

Aussie players were involved in pushing Mr. Sharad Pawar (not only BCCI President but also a Member of Parliament) off the stage after Champions Trophy Final.

I am not saying Indians are innocent. But if you compare them against Aussies, the doings of the Indians are nothing.

Also don't forget SA series, where Match Referee penalised Indian players for excessive appealing but let off Shaun Pollock without a word inspite of swearing at Indian Batsmen. Any body watching that match will tell he was not praising the Indians.

As for Harbhajan Singh, I am sure (more than 100%) that he is framed by not only the Aussie Players, but it may also be involving if not majority at least some officials of Cricket Australia to divert attention from umpiring errors and also maintain their unbeaten record.

You are absolutely right! This was the first thing I thought when there was a hearing on Harbhajan.
The Sydney match should be considered void, and the series drawn.

I DON'T THINK YOU GET THE POINT AND I'M NOT SURPRISED ... COMING FROM "NJ"!! YOU AND YOUR OPINION, THOUGH, IS INSIGNIFICANT. ITS NOT ABOUT PERFORMANCE ... ITS ABOUT A NATIONAL TEAM'S IMAGE ... ABOUT SPORTSMANSHIP AND A LOT OF THINGS THAT YOU'LL NOT UNDERSTAND. WHOM TO PICK IS A TEAM SELECTOR'S DECISION, NOT DIRECTED BY ARBITRARY BAN.

From Cricinfo
by Arun Prasad on Jan 28, 2008 08:42 PM

Cricinfo, meanwhile, has learnt that the evidence provided by the stump transcripts is inconclusive - what Harbhajan says is indecipherable - and is expected to neither jeopardise nor help his case.

Cricket Australia's Apartheid Policy
by Kamal on Jan 28, 2008 08:29 PM  | Hide replies

This test series was named as GAVASKAR-BORDER Trophy. Gavaskar was very well there in Australia giving commentary of the match. However, Cricket Australia was not having a cutresy to invite Gavaskar to hand over the trophy to the winners. This shows their Apartheid Policy and they say Bajji is racist. Never ever trust Aussies.

What can be expected from Aussies. Few years ago, their players pushed off Mr. Sharad Pawar from the dias. At least Mr. Gavaskar should consider himself lucky not to experience such INSULT.

Tampered evidence...
by james on Jan 28, 2008 07:49 PM  | Hide replies

U know who provide the video coverage of cricket match in autralia. It is chanenl 9 television...

They are well know for tampering video footage which is been provided to 3rd umpire and hawk-eye prediction to spectators..This is said by NZ coach when NZ team visited for last ODI series...

So the evidence of Bhajji s slur in stump mic is as well another tampered evidence produced by australian televison channel 9.

Well, it is entirely pre-planned issue. It all started on 3rd day, after Aussies benefited most from umpiring blunders, and they needed something to divert the attention. Any one can imagine how a persons facial expressions change, if he feels offended or insulted. In this footage, you can clearly see not even a minute change in face of Symonds. This clearly shows, it was all pre-planned and surely Cricket Australia is aware of it (may be ICC head Malcolm Speed - another Aussie) must be also aware of all these. that's why even ICC instead of penalising the faulty umpires were supporting them.May be they were too greedy for the record and knew Sydney may not be favourable to them.

The mic is installed by channel 9 and not by ICC.

AS PER INDIAN LAW TAPED VOICES CANT BE ACCEPTED AS EVIDENCE!
by Kabeer on Jan 28, 2008 07:49 PM

As per Indian and many Anglo-saxon laws taped voices can not be accepted as evidence.

It can be mimicked by someone!

Anyway, I think Harbie seems to have used the word MONKEY & BIG MONKEY!

The only defence BCCI should put up now is that Actually Harbhajan is praising Andrew Symonds!
As per Indian ethos Monkey is a sign of power and represents Lord Hanuman; even Maruti means the same!

Even according to Western ethos also Monkies were the ancestors of all humans so the elderly people!

BCCI lives in stone age Vs Aussies in Aggresive Media age
by Mahesh Mehta on Jan 28, 2008 07:03 PM  | Hide replies

We Indians are coming out BIG fool in entire affair. Our short sight has not made any other issue cropped up. Look at there media, they came up with so many articles, viz. Max. punishment to Indians & Paki players, where as there players are 4-6 th rank.
Even we should had asked for reversing of results of Sydney test, which I shouted lot in this forum. Even within 5 mints of Sydney loss. Now if we had raised this issue at that time, aussies would be under pressure. In fact we allowed B.Hogg escape punishment, so naturally his negative image is not out. We have been to generous, BCCI & Kumble Gandhigiri has led us to this situation.
Now what sort of consultancy you can get / give on telephone ? Is BCCI is saying you can do business with remote control????
This is just an politics of money making for near & dear one of BCCI officers. Who is interested in Indian pride ?? BCCI is not concern it seems.

You are absolutely right! Gandhigiri never works! At the end of the day, the result Aus win 2-1 by cheating. CA and Ponting are really clever to divert attention to Harbhajan Singh. So, BCCI was limited to defending Harbhajan Singh. In fact, even before the charge was levelled, India should have officially complained about the validity of Sydney Test and should have demanded cancelling the result.

BCCI is only worried about winning Votes in ICC so that SharaD Pawar becomes ICC head. (It is different that even if he is head of ICC, Indian players will continue to suffer.)

What happened to Rajesh Chauhan? It was during Mr. Dalmiya's tenure, he was thrown out with chucking charges. And who complained against him, the great Aussies, because they feared he might ruin their plans.

This is the truth. BCCI will never protect its players. They just want to fill their pockets. See how Sri Lankan Board has stood behind Murali. BCCI should learn from it.

Shame on BCCI. In spite of all that happened in Sydney, BCCI officials were still speaking about procedures, etc. Did anybody thought of what the players were going through away from their homes?

Politicians and Businessman should be banned from Sports Bodies. Only Players representing at International and National Levels should be allowed, only then there are chances of players feeling secured and the performance should improve.
