the one who wrote this column doesn't know anything abt. cricket. cricket was considered as the 'gentleman's game' till the 'aussies' started sledging in the 80's and 90's. not it has worsened. cricket is a game and not war......

It seems you don't know nething about cricket.....
Sledging was pretty common even in the 50s and 60s...only things is that it was not known as sledging....rather banter on the field of play was considered par for the course...

Check your facts first before you make sweeping statements....

indians praised by the oz media

Its mainly the courier mail that has made speculative comments on the win. otherwise majority of the media is praising the indian side for its performance in perth. i dont think courier mail is the sole representative of aussie media. most popular websites are praising indian team especially the bowlers.

At least someone has a brain here...

Anyone with half a cricket brain would ask themselves, did Oz play well enough to win? The answer is very simply no.

You don't half to run too far to find a journalist who is an idiot. Even in Oz.

Aussie media has accepted that the biggest skill their team has is arrogance and gamemanship. Look at the matter that says"In the space of a week the Australians got civilised...So instead of a confident, arrogant, winning team, we get a nice, civilised one. Maybe a losing one," it rued". So playing a civilized game and being in the spirit of the game is wrong according to them. Where were these media when India was robbed of a test in sydney. I think the aussie selectors test how rude, arrogant the playera are and then select them.

after all it is only a sport and India were the desrving winners. to become a true winner one should first learn to be a sporting loser. the cribbing by a section of the Australian media without giving the credit due to the Indian side by itself reflects a kind of snobbish and racist attitude of the Aussie media. it is really shameful they are trying to find excuses instead reconciling to Indias improved all round performance. no wonder PONTING & co. suffer from such arrogance and delusions.
