Why this hype?
by vsgiri on Jan 23, 2008 10:07 AM  | Hide replies

Several better cricketers have come nad gone in Indian scene. Vijay Manjrekar was dropped after his 186 against England
Jaisimha was recalled for the series against Aussies and scored a century. but then left. Similarly has Mohinder has come and gone several times. If you want to talk about someone who really deserved a place it is Laxman.

Why Dravid left captaincy?
by vsgiri on Jan 23, 2008 09:59 AM

Saner elements would have understood by this time why the most acclaimed and technically the best Indian bat in the last decade laft captaincy. The same will happen to Dhoni. Inspite of an average of 17 from 40 matches that fellow was repeatedly pushed by politicians and the media controlled by the people coming from the same regiob. If some non-bengali knowing Bengalee language had seen the local channels in the past two years they would have understood what for these people are standing. They callthemselves communists and do all these non-sense

Dhoni, time is ending
by Abu Mohd. Pharhad Hussain on Jan 23, 2008 09:31 AM

Dhoni, you don't want Ganguly, it's OK, time is ending, you've failed to control the Aussie in India, now how you stupid expect to do that in Australia, that too without Ganguly who is a fine batsman with quite good bowlling capability with a good economy, and his medium swing balls would have helped in the present Australian wicket.

Instead you drop yuvraj, what he did in the test, Yuvraj dropped and India won the series, he was included because of political pressure, resulting Dravid to open where THE WALL was not fit and so failed, but as soon as Dravid came to no. 3, he scored a fine 93(?), and India won the match, India could have won the Sydney too, if Yuvraj had been replaced with Shehwag as opener.
Dhoni don't want Gaguly is soon going to be reverse, India will not want Dhoni. Also Yuvraj, your father made a huge noise on private TV when was selected as captain, but I doubt, you are also going to ruin your career, go back man, play domestic game and bounce back like Irfan. Otherwise Indians are going to forget both of you.

Oh Yah? Mallika ( I think you are guy).

Indian army is made by Netaji-how about that?? The past General had been Bengali.
Read Shankar Roychowdhury and J.N. Chaudhuri

and

In army the best regiment and clan is Gorkha anyway.

In Sports? Bengalee are the best in soccer. And Sourav was the best captain and led a team that
went to world cup final.

Mohan Bagan was the 1st team to beat British before independence.
For soccer go to the following web to see the bengali achievement/

You would be amazed too see the number of players that are best in India.

So wrongy wrong

you r so stupid as ur mailid....you are not a bong..u don't know anything about bongs...so keep quite o.w allother people will lough on u...
The points are below...
1)Out of 4 Indians who got the Nobel,2 are BONGS.
2)Netaji,Rasbihari Bose,Arobindo,Masterda Surya sen,Binay,Badal, dinesh, khudiram,Baghajatin all fought for India's freedom. And what about ur region and your state I want to know?
3)Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy,Jagadish Chnadra Bose are among the top indian scientists.
4)When Indian fottball team got the chance to play in world cup, among 16 members 9 were bengali's.
5)In politics I think all of u know about bongs.

so my suggetion for u is don't be regional....Every Community is having their own history and presence to cheer for.

Ganguly must be treated with some dignity...he deserves it!!
by Pratik Biswas on Jan 23, 2008 12:17 AM  | Hide replies

He was the man who gave a new definition to indian captaincy for the first time with his grit and determination...and took the team to new scales{for that time at least}. he also showed his determination...when he broke into the team last yr after going though a time which no indian cricketer has gone by...may b he is arrogant, some may say he is selfish but all in all he contributed for the teams from time to time.
its ok that the selectors have axed him out..to make a team for the future, but the manner again is not right..He had faced this sort of treatment once and its again the same case...these selectors are sending a very disappointing message to the legends of indian cricket...they have forgot that, once they too were a part of the team.....and don't be surprised if in 3-4 yrs down the line..the master blaster also meets the same fate..if it happens then it would be no less than MURDER of CRICKET itself...

Do you know Tendulkar and Ganguly got fired by Robin singh
by Nakshathravana on Jan 23, 2008 12:03 AM  | Hide replies

Robin singh recently came high on Tendulkar and Ganguly on their fielding. If Vengsarkar can say because of age why Tendulkar still in the team. Rediculous and very biased. VENGSARKAR LOOKS LIKE HE IS TAKING DECISION WHEN HE IS DRUNK AND HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THEY ARE PLAYING CRICKET FOR INDIA AND WE ALL ARE ENJOING WATCHING. ITS NOT HIS PERSONAL PROPERTY

Strike Rates are worth only in ODI and 20 -20 not in test cricket.

Because he(sachin) is Maharati Manus. Both selector and BCCI presedient are marithi Manus. If they drop sachin then Thakeray will make a Ass out of them.

come on guys .. sachin is better fielder than ganguly and also scores runs at faster rate than gangulu and his running between wickets is better than ganguly infact he is ver4y good judger of run better than many indian players. So you cannot say sachin is unfit for ODI. And plz dont compare him with saurav. Sachin is diff genre altogether. Sourav is gr8 as well, I want him to play as well. But the reasons stated for ganguly being left out doesnot apply for sachin. So slectors are atleast consistent and unbiased in that way.
