Kumble withdrawn charges against Hogg
by Kamal on Jan 14, 2008 04:19 PM

Shame on you Kumble! Atleast, had you struck a mutual deal of withdrawing all charges against Harbajan, it owuld have been appreciated. You need not show mercy to people who fixed Sydney Test.

Cricket no longer centrestage in Aus!
by ulta pulta on Jan 14, 2008 04:08 PM

While India still fumes over the last cricket test and the treatment metted out to them, here in Australia, things have moved on and the focus has shifted all over the news and TV onto the Australian Open and the Tour Down Under. Just goes onto show that sadly we Indians just have one sport to hold onto - cricket, while the Aussies can beat us in any sport under the sun except perhaps kabaddi.

new ICC rules
by hgfhgsahgfc on Jan 14, 2008 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

(1) Ricky Ponting %u2013 (THE TRULY GENUINE CRICKETER OF THE CRICKET ERA AND
WHOSE INTEGRITY SHOULD NOT BE DOUBTED ) should be considered as the FOURTH
UMPIRE. As per the new rules, FOURTH UMPIRE decision is final and will over
ride any decisions taken by any other umpires. ON-FIELD umpires can seek the
assistance of RICKY PONTING even if he is not on the field. This rule is to
be made, so that every team should understand the importance of the FOURTH
UMPIRE .

(2) While AUSTRALIAN TEAM is bowling, If the ball flies anywhere close to
the AUSTRALIAN FIELDER(WITHIN 5 metre distance) , the batsman is to be
considered OUT irrelevant of whether the catch was taken cleanly or grassed.
Any decision for further clarification should be seeked from the FOURTH
UMPIRE. This is made to ensure that the cricket is played with SPORTIVE
SPIRIT by all the teams.

(3) While BATTING , AUSTRALIAN players will wait for the ON-FIELD UMPIRE
decisions only (even if the catch goes to the FIFTH SLIP as the ball might
not have touched the bat). Each AUSTRALIAN batsman has to be out FOUR TIMES
(minimum) before he can return to the pavilion. In case of THE CRICKETER
WITH INTEGRITY , this can be higher.

(4) UMPIRESshould consider a huge bonus if an AUSTRALIAN player scores a
century. Any wrong decisions can be ignored as they will be paid huge bonus
and will receive the backing of the AUSTRALIAN team and board.

(5) All AUSTRALIAN players are eligible to keep commenting about all playe

Ganguly
by vsgiri on Jan 14, 2008 12:51 PM  | Hide replies

One cannot take Ganguly by his words. Only Dravid awas visibly not out in the sydney test. Moreover Ganguly has had several strictures from ICC for bad manners and indiscipline. Harbhajan, Zaheer, Yuvraj are all Ganguly supporters and failed to produce good cricket during Dravid's captaincy. Zaheer telling the media after Dravid had correctly pointed out that Indians are tired and follow-on was not given to England. Zaheer could not take a single wicket in the second innings and England went on and on as predicted by Dravid. Similarly Ganguly has questioned the spirit of the game mentioned by Kumble as if he is not aware of what Kumble meant by that.

After all Sharad Pawar is a politicians
by Kamal on Jan 14, 2008 09:26 AM

Players, you all stand-by Harbajan and save him. You cannot expect anything from politician-cum-bccian. Everything in life is politics for politicians. It is there in their blood. Now we cannot remove this. They will try to convert every opportunity in their favour. For that they will pledge anything on the earth. After all, Harbajan is a crickter. He cannot expect anything from the president of BCCI. Only players can save him. Players all should unite together and raise an issue of match fixing case against Ponting and his boys. Nearly all dozen umpiriging decisions went against India in Sydney test and none against Aussies. Instead of asking third umpire for Clarke's urgly catch (not out), umpire obediently asked Ponting and gave out. The proctor did not hear Tendulkar, a great batsman on this earth, but heard only Aussies and gave verdict. Now, Pawar/BCCI says that it is pulling out the threat of discontinuing the tour. Money matters everywhere.

comparision between sourav and yuvraj
by srinath ganti on Jan 13, 2008 11:58 PM

before the tour every one was talking of sacking sourav for yuvraj saying that sourav cannot play fast bowling and other nonsense stuff. by dropping ganuly before the world cup india has suffered once and this time look at pathetic yuvraj he cannot stand for 10 minutes at the crease look at the last innings dont u think its ridiculous for yuvraj to walk even before bucknor raised his finger. how can u compare ganguly and yuvraj. i have no hard feelings for yuvraj i am an indian too. respect your seniors in the lime light of their careers there is bound to be some promising talent but dont put undue pressure on the look what happened to dhoni even dravid succombed to captaincy pressure where as sourav donned that role fort five years respect him for what he is after all he is an indian. chapell employed divide and rule to good effect bcci blidly accepted his word and sacked ganguly. politics should not take precedence in sport

Kaala angrez!!!This must be something you must be used to.Nevermind after spending good amount of time in Europe.I exactly know how you "wanna be white's" feel about things. It is bit different from the way we asians see things but then FYI even the so called white's think differently than you. That must make you quite unique because now you must be aware of your breed.

Friend..this is not crying. it is called fighting for rights. As per ICC records india is the worst behaved team i.e. India having faced more sanctions than any other Test playing nation in the past 10 years. Do you think we are behaving badly on the field comparing to Australia and other countries? Unless otherwise you fight for the right thing you well get penalised for nothing which is totally a NONSENSE. Any thoughts?
