No compromise

Once Harbhajan is cleared of charges on him, we should lodge a complaint against Ponting, Hayden, symonds, and clarke, for making unsubstantiated charges against Harbhajan. We should see to it that these people are banned. If falsely claiming a wicket is wrong, then so are accusing a player of racial abuse with no evidence.

Secondly the result of the second match should not be considered for the series, this series should be declared still open although we have been robbed of a victory, we should agree for a draw and Gavaskar/ Border Trophy should be open.

Thirdly we should sue the players for making false charges against our player.

BCCI agreed to play Pak just after Kargil War. Only Kapil Dev stood up against it. Our nation's honour and soldier's scarfice meant nothing. By the way, BCCI is a private club not a national body. Who are we kidding?

Umpires make wrong decisions. You cannot fire an umpire midway through a series because he made a few mistakes however bad and earth shattering they maybe. What kind of a signal does that send out? That is an umpire gives a wrong decsion against a powerful team, he will be thrown out? Come onnnn? This is not cricket. BCCI caters for the masses. That is how the bottom feeders rip the paying people off with scant regard to the decorum of the game. I do not like Bucknor. That does not mean we treat an offcial like this. Sad sad day. I know Rediff will delete this message. So much for fair play..... :-)

If Bucknor was giving wrong decisions for the last 7 years why did India not object before the start of the match or the series? I agree with Sanjay Manjrekar on this aspect.
Are you saying that Umpires who give bad decisons should be thrown out? Then no umpire will be able to make decisions. I am not supporting Bucknor. He should have been let go long time back. But the way India is wringing ICC's hand now will have far reaching ramifications. It might appease the masses now but this is questioning the integrity of the game. Masses and media - wow what a combination. One fueling the other. It is like a billion people trying to intimidate the umpires. Very little difference to the Aussies trying to pressure the umpires on the field.

Mr. Santhosh,

You are missing the point here mate. It's just not few mistakes! Bucknor & Benson are playing with cricketer's careers!!
Would you let somebody ruin your career, by making incompetent decisions? I understand that it's human to make mistakes, but to continue making the same mistakes over and over again is criminal.
Would you let an incompetent doctor treat you or perform surgery on you or your dear ones? It's same as that! Even though cricket is just a game, decisions like this can ruin a career. Did you look at the young bowler Ishant Sharma's reaction when he was denied a wicket? What do you think goes on in the mind of such budding players? When we expect professionalism in everything, what's wrong with expecting the same from an umpire?

sharad pawar was pushed by ponting during icc championship trophy 2006 in ind.
now if this pawar does nt act n if he forces our team to play in ausi for licking money, all fans need to kick him from the back n throw him to the arabian sea.

bcci is doing a terrible job managing the indian cricket team. it should realise that cricket is like a second relegion to india and perhaps the only thing that unites the multi-diverse country. by having a very adhoc and lackadiscal attitute to the sports not only it has played with the sentiments of the masses but also as one can see in this case has created a lot of bad blood between two nations.all that is happening now is a result of the insidious policies of the bcci.

he has a milerious comments on Cricinfo. Although he had some point, but absoultely nonsencical in context. I don't what's wrong with this goof when the entire India along with many 'rational Aussies, lots of Brits and many around the world, are playing the same tune about Con/cheat behaviour of this Aussie team..

The fight is diluted as the test result remains same. The fight should have been on cancelling the test. This is is the only way the Australian's arrogance could have been put to an end. once this is done Haribhajan is automatically out. By allowing Haribhajan to play the third ICC had mad a Tricky decision.
We may have to field 3 Pace bowlers and keep haribhajan as 12th man. where as even if Hogg was banned for one match he is not required for 3rd test and will be kept out conviniently. BCCI has fallen into ICC's Trap
