I fully agree with you. It is going to be flop show. Nobody will spend their time watching highly paid slaves play.
SRK is not the shrewdest if u ask me...its Hyderabad DC who were shrewdest just look at their buy Gilli, Symo, Gibbs and Afridi can there be a better explosive batsmen and two good allrounders in form of symmo and afridi?!?? and still they have money in hand 2 buy some more and hussey and McGrath still in pool look out for Hyderabad!!!!
RE:Hell No!!!
by Muthukumar on Feb 20, 2008 05:48 PM
and GIlli is the best keeper of all times and Symo, Gibbs and afridi one of the best and athletic young fielders in the world!!!
sharad pawar has only one goal in life to make money, by any means. Is he not liable to vacate one of his two positions i.e. the minister of agriculture and the cheif of BCCI?? Does not he aware of the suicides of farmers and the conditions they are living in?? Agriculture is always the India's main resource and this guy is heading that dept!!!! While auctioning the cricket legends, could he be asked to atleat take away 10% of the bidding price for these poor farmers who are anyway on the verge of bankruptcy, since it his duty to generate money for the BCCI(and himself) it is his equal responsinility to take care of the farmers.

Instead this ballon shaped minister asking poor farmers to give up farming. Making mockery of their sad life.

Well said. It is ironical in India, that on one hand we have farmer suicides, on the other we have people making millions. At the same person is managing both the lots !!!!

Spot on. But the social conscious in our cricketers & the administrators - whether Pawar or Dalmiya or Bindra, is dead & buried. Our hopelessly overpaid cricketers should feel ashamed that a Australian Steve Waugh financially supports "udayan" in Kolkatta

tab to jaggu sharad pawar pe mis appropriation of funds ka iljaam laga dega aur bcci ka boss ban jayega ????

How can he take away money from BCCI? It is foolish thinking. Are you going to contribute for farmers cause come on . Because you have authority to take money from your pocket. I will also conyribute. But BCCI is governed by their consttution. Pawar has brought lot of money to BCCI . Previous BCCI chief was more corrupy so the money from ad, TV and cotracts was not going to BCCI but siphoned off somewhere else. Now for the same cotracts BCCI is earnig four times more money. So before Pawar 75% money was siphoned off.

IS BCCI not a profit making organisation. Sharad pawar should quit either of his power like other personalities did!!!!

"coz buying villages will give them neither the publicity nor generate revenues for them. At the end of the day it is sheer oppurtunism backed commercial venture for all of them... lest you were thinking that all this biggies are into this for love of cricket or mere indulgence.

dudes lets not get emotionally carried away.. these guys r interested in doing business only..they cant get a dime out of investing it in villages...so where there is opportunity to profit there's a bunch of investors ready.

I 100% agree with you.Wished that if these lump-sums were put in for developing infrastucture in remote villages,it would have only added a feather to our shining image of India globally in true sense.

I'm with U. But sorry to say Indian Villages are to Famous only when human lives lost.

You have hit the nail, these people should be ashmed of themseleved, instead of bidding for players they must adopt some underdeveloped villages and improve that village.

Yeah Rajesh,, I agree with you.. We come to know about villages only when a farmer in that village dies.. Strange.. but true in India

Yes Zubair.. I understand .. but where does all those money come from from the pockets of you and me.. If they have spent it on any improvements for rural places we could atleast got satisfaction
Shoib won't play half the match,Ponting & Gail won't be available for full season, god help agarkar, no spinner - a very weak bowling side. Moreover, many players are not ideal for 20-20 eg Ganguly,Ponting,Shoib. In any case it will be more circus than cricket
It is indeed a very sad day for a country like India where lakhs of children have forgotten what childhood is under the yoke of child labour that millions of dollars are being showered on jocks ! I appeal to all citizens to boycott this naked exhibition of wealth & power under the guise of sports. Please we are not US yet , whose less previleged citizens are taken care of, to put this kind of money on a mere sport. Wake up India... our priorities are different. And they should be giving all of us nightmares.

i truly reciprocateyour views. it is indeed very sad to see this kind activities like circus bafoons, spending lot of money on this idiotic game. all in this country should boycott this game unitedly and make this a grand failure.

very true. it is very sad. i join you in your appeal to all citizens to boycott this.
Certainly the writing is on the wall.Cricket no longer exists as a game of Gentlemen. It has become a BDG(BISINESS DEVELOPEMENT GAME)if not in other countries, certainly in India.
