This money game of BCCI that has already ruined indian cricket will now ruin the game of cricket in the rest of the world. It is interesting to notice that a player like Symonds who according to him has been humiliated by indian fans and players is ready to play in an indian league and most of the Aus players who always claim that country is there top most priority, were ready to revolt against their own CA just for money.

Let them earn when they get chance. after all they put in hard work to earn this stature. This is life time chance for many cricketers.
What is the price please if all indian players do really want to play for the country. Otherwise, after some years, it will be District leval and Village level auctions.
Do I smell Sharad Pawar!s Political intution that there will be auctions, one day, for ministers as well, by the biggest industrialists and rich actors. Can we save us from this.
From informed reports it appears that all teams want Bucknor on their side and every one is afraid of "slow death" even in 20/20.Reports suggest that Bucknor can finish off a game faster than Brett Lee or Shoaib Akhtar. After all Bucknor gets 10 overs as straight umpire against only 4 overs for these bowlers. Closest second is Darrell Hair who can finish off a match in one go . Benson and Proctor are expected to fetch close to highest bids as they have an enviable track record. No team wants to take chances with this umpire quartet and are prepared to pay the highest price to have them on their side. BCCI is yet come up with cap on the max bid on umpires given the clamour for the Quartet.

Srinath, Laxman only could have gained through iconic status because iconic players have to be paid 15% more than the highest bid by that team on a player.Taking into consideration the average higest bid per team to be around 700000$ Laxman could have earned a cool 15% more than that. Its indeed a kind gesture from Laxman so that the team can save some money.
God, what's happening! are we back to the days of Uncle Tom's Cabin when humans were bought and sold as slaves? or are we moving bang towards the modern management theory -- everything can be bought at the right price. Hey if anyone has something called goodness or loyalty up for sale, do let me know. I am game to give it a try.
I think this tournament provides good opportunity for local talent as only 4 foreign players can be in the playing XI. Good Ranji performers like Mithun Manhas and Rajat Bathia are already in line for a place in the Delhi IPL team.As for ICL, let's hope Zee does not shelve the tournament just like it did with Anupam Kher and Manisha Koirala's show, which was launched to rival KBC in 2001.
