Ipl will be a disaster, because it is run by politicians who are selfish.ICL will pick up later, because there is no politics and run professionally, and thre was no hic-cups in the beginning.BCCI will have to face to face international courts, because the present rulers of the BCCI will disown when problem comes. Watch !
After the intial hype settles down,it will be disaster for Cricket India and the commercial backkers.No onw watches the Ranji final or Dullep finally unless the entrance is free.Who will watch this tamasha's when the players have no stakes in terms of performance or reputation of their country.This will kill the normal cricket to because audience willsuffer from indigestion of this excess 'Cricket' diet.
first zee started icl out of anger at losing out on tv rights. then bcci started ipl to combat zee's icl. when such decisions are taken merely to outdo one another then it is difficult to achieve one's objective successfully. cricket means india. even though lot of great international talent will play in ipl, i cannot see spectators getting as involved as when they are cheering their national team. initially there will be some interest because of hype but soon enough ipl will find the going tough.
Millions of dollers are given out foreign players, who comes from a far better countries, living std is much higher than India. And their talent is not going to help our players. Help your own filty poor ppl, BCCI & IPL
And BCCI does not even have its own web-site to start with !!!!
Actually India's T20 World Cup triumph came at the wrong time. What happened to all those corrective actions declared by the BCCI after the 2007 ODI World Cup debacle ?
Huge abt of money that we are offering to foreign players is going to come from Indian audience. India cannot afford to have so many "non-working" days!!!I hope IPL goes the ICL way.
Where the IPL is getting it all wrong is that they would be showing this tournament only on Star Sports, and not on DD National, where only the matches of "national importance" are purportedly shown. Everyone knows that we cricket-crazy fans are not all in the metros but in the fringe cities and towns, where all do not have Star Sports. Even KBC - 2 failed because of this reason. (KBC-1 was another matter with Big B's popularity in all Indian villages too !)
Moreover, we love to watch Team India play and not even our States (which is sad too), leave alone our city clubs. We would, instead, prefer to go about our own daily life, as we would not want to dilute our "strong loyalties towards Team India" in a tamasha. It may still succeed if they show it live on DD National, purely as a Prime Time Serial, to be successful, and to make cricket popular in villages, which is supposed to be the idea behinfd the whole thing anyways.

gavaskar criticism is justified.....he is one of member of selection committee...he is committed and hold responsibility and players should take the criticism positively....even what he said for munaf's fielding and batting is also justified..Dont ever question his attitude becaz of him our Indian Cricket has reached GLOBAL LEVEL.....

Kya Bakwass kar rahe ho...... Gavaskar has only given india draw or lose. he never tried to win the match.
