captaincy for sehwag in 1 dayers if not for the test match
by D S on Apr 11, 2008 10:24 PM

Difficult scenario:
Sehwag tries to force and makes a wrong stoke. Jaffer gets frustrated...
Does anyone think there would be a collapse or blocking at level of Dravid, Laxman and then Yuvi tries to accelerate (even if it is not 1 day ) and Dhoni hangs little bit before it all caves in. Tell it to Indian team.

The bright side is what we are looking where India bats for 2 days and makes 600.

India staring at Defeat
by Raman sSubramanya on Apr 11, 2008 10:13 PM  | Hide replies

Indians against the raw pace of SA bowlers will be skittled out in both innings and SA has already started smelling series victory. Indians will have to pay for the underprepared pitch !!!

What are you talking about? Indian batsman will apply themselves, bat for two days and score around 500 runs. SA will be bundled out by our bowleres and SA will suffer innings defeat. I guarantee it.

Dont guarantee in Cricket. remember Indian team in a test match in Carrebian could not chase 125 and were bundled out for 83.

No saagar saagar saagar (the third one just for the effects)..
India will be all out on 6 runs. Follow on, and then score 798 runs.
SA in their second innings will score 9 runs, and hence lose by a huge margin.

R u a South African using an Indian name? SA is in deep predicament. Yr wishes cannot revive them. The pacemen of SA will prove to be raw on the Kanpur wicket. Just u wait and watch.

by anil gaindhar on Apr 11, 2008 10:04 PM

India has done very well by bowling out SA on first day , the day belonged to india NOW here is a chance to for DHONI TO prove that he can good captian for tests with his spl friend yuvi back in squad. VEERU to be very careful in case he fails this dhoni will play the blame game on him. 2nd day we may end up 260 for three then go for victory

Y S, agreed, praveenkumar and gambhir could have turned the fortunes
by D S on Apr 11, 2008 09:57 PM

captaincy changed shld have happened in second test to eiminate non-performers. For second test, If Irfan cannot do good with the ball then we are better with specialist batsmen or specialist bowler.
Sresanth should be rested but Kumble shouted loud, he is fit to play. I hope too much of over-work does not injure some players when it is un-necessary/un-productive.

Remove this drama queen (sreesanth) !!!!!
by rajorshi basu on Apr 11, 2008 09:56 PM  | Hide replies

BCCI pls remove this former national level break dancer from Indian cricket team...he is not fit 2 bowl perhapseven at the state level...once in a decade he will come up with a good performance aided by good pitch and good weather conditions...otherwise very poor performance....

include praveen kumar or probably vrv singh...atleast they dont bowl rank full tosses on the leg stump...

BCCI cannot make good decision, who would kirsten or upton be loyal to? praveenkumar could be the second pacer because taking wickets in first inning matter because we can put pressure.

What we do in second inning depends a lot on how we bat

rajoshri i agree with you. I wonder why praveen kumar is not being considered for test matches. He moves the ball both ways and is accurate which is something we do not find with our fast bowlers specially sreesanth or rp. He would be an ideal foil for ishant.

rest would be good for him for sure. this would be 3rd test match and 6 innings for him in a row.

Now we have to bat well to pressure.

it is clear the indians have not been shattered by the earlier humiliation! i am sure the indian batting will scintillate and pile up a mammoth total and win with authority.
