What are talking about? They bowled out SA for 265 after they were 152 for 1. If you dont have any point and patience to watch a competition, get off and go play some card game. Dont bother us with this kind of nonsense.

Indian team is fine under Dhoni
by Ashish Kumar on Apr 11, 2008 06:30 PM  | Hide replies

I think it was good for India that Kumble backed out. He is not a match winning captain. As a bowler he is no longer as effective as he used to be and as a semi fit bowler he has been totally ineffective. Dhoni may not have the experience but he has the abilities one looks for in a captain. Presently, I expect India to win.

Well. We need a wicket keeper that can bat and score atleast 40 - 50 runs. Do you know of anyone? Dhoni certainely doesn't seem to score more than 15-16 runs in every innings he plays.

Another thing, Kumble is injured. That doesn't make him a lesser captain. Although, I was surprised that they didnt have a plan for Steyn in the second test match.

Kumble the captain and Sewag the deputy in test matches. This is how it should go.

Match is evenly poised at the moment we have to bat well to gain advantage.

Dhoni

Captaincy made the difference, Other wise Kumbale/Harbhajan would have bowled 25 overs each & shreesanth & Ishant would have bowled 15 over each & rest of them would have bowled 10 overs. Dhoni gave chance to each bowler on right time & he got the result. He dare to take such steps & he gets successes.

Not really. There was nothing special from Dhoni here. The big difference in this test match is, India has a fast bowler that can bowl with pace and some accuracy, that is Ishant.
The pitch has assistance for spin.

India has to score 600 runs in 2 days, then the match will become interesting and will have some result. All the best India, save our pride.

Dude..come out of the sweet dreams about scoring 600 runs. This team is handicapped in the absence of Sachin. His replacement Yuvraj is not very fluent on the slow tracks such as this. He would have made a difference in the second test at Motera though.

Indian attack was good, considering that two bowler are comeback
by D S on Apr 11, 2008 06:11 PM  | Hide replies

it is unfortunate to see Sivaramakrishnan and SA commentator badmouthing Indian bowling while sparing sresanth.
Indian bowling hit back after SA score of 160. It is time to see how India hits back.

Indians reply
by Notout_Naveen on Apr 11, 2008 05:32 PM

As the pitch seems to be lively and provides variable bounce u can see another marchfast from Indian batsmen tomorrow.

On top of the huge loss Dhoni has included yuvraj singh ??Intresting to see what he does?.

All the batsmen excpet Dravid are stroke makers witout solid defence. As Ishanth was getting some assistance from the pitch u can expect more from Ntini and Steyn.

Coach Gary it will be test of ur Character to handle these stroke makers in good lively pitches.
