Poor decission by Kumble
by Team India on Apr 04, 2008 09:20 PM  | Hide replies

Having known our batting skills on grassy strips, it was highly risky to choose batting.Once again it has turned to be a blunder of decission.I wonder how an experienced player like Kumble failed to measure the abilities of the top order batsmen on grassy wickets.Add to that the absence of Tendulkar.very hard tyo understand the criteria on which batting was selected.Should say lack of common sense whilst taking such a decission knowing the very fragile realties of our batting strength on such wickets.

ALL ROADS WILL NOT LEAD TO ROME. AS U SAID KUMBLE SHOULD HAVE TAKEN A WISE DECISION WITH HIS VAST EXPERIENCE.

hero of dead pitches.
by ben hur on Apr 04, 2008 09:12 PM

dont select heros of dead pitches even if they score 400 runs on such pitches.
such heros r dhooni and jaffer.
its better to search for real heros who can perform on all pitches.

its time to get rid of old
by anipkumar on Apr 04, 2008 09:10 PM

this perfrmance is the proof india now need young team, all oldies are now mentally tired, what is point keeping dada in team(worst filder in world, out of touch in batting),why jaffer is there in the team,if gambhir is in best of his form, why kumble is playing if he is not 100% fit.now dravind, either he makes 10 runs or by chance he makes 50, he needs 400 balls.sorry oldies ur time is now over, give chance to other.

by Nirmal on Apr 04, 2008 09:07 PM

india shud seriously consider bribing the SA players to throw away the match..that is the only way this indian team can hope for a semblance of a win.

Flat & Dead Wickets Is Screat of Indian Scoring
by RAJENDRA SAWANT on Apr 04, 2008 08:48 PM  | Hide replies

Indna had bitter teast of green alively wicket where they do not have any sence of playing is irony of indian cricket. Sehwag was greatest in Madras because this wicket is always dead and flat sheating cricket lovers. This time Dhreej Parassana did mistake usually he also follow same dead and flat wicket but expecting he may have expected India to win the toss and may not have the idea the SA bowlers can do every thingin 25 overs to bundle outr India on green top wicket. Subsequently wicket shown its origional flat and dead behaviour but India wa almost lost its grip on the match. BCCI and Selector should now at least search new good players and train them on fast greeen track how to handle fast and moving balls. Scoring massive total of over 500 runs and draw matches does not bring revenue for BCCI with all bunch of retired aged players all above 35plus. Sachin, Rahul,Ganguli, Kumble,Sehwag, all are tired to match with Australian and Sauth African players fitness level.

by prakash kumar on Apr 04, 2008 08:32 PM  | Hide replies

When India Toured S/A The first test, First innings S/A were bundled out cheaply for 84. India then went on to win the test match but lose the series 1-2. Will the series be levelled?

A tight slap on the face of the BCCI!!
by Tommy Cat on Apr 04, 2008 08:24 PM  | Hide replies

People in this forum have chosen to jump on the Indian team but you guys are wrong...when they are busy promoting for their IPL teams, how will they get time for practice and fine tuning??

Don't we need to practice and fine tune before a company presentation??
When we were kids, did we not have to study hard for exams??

It is lack of preparation that is telling...forget this classy south African outfit who will demolish us in this series...

The way the Indians are playing, even Banglaa would have given us a run for our money...

The BCCI has made a mockery of the game of cricket by commercializing it just to respond to the ICL...they are making a market out of the 20-20 game and treating the players like puppets...and then you have opportunistic sc^ums like actors and industrialists who are converting the game into a circus...

Respect the game and Indian cricket will thrive, show disrespect to the game and you will have your backside handed out to you...you are not playing a popatwadi team for you to land up 3 hours before the test and then go thru the motions of practice!!

IPL will be a big disaster cos in this age aand era of globalization and boundaryless world, the barriers between cities are just fictitious and will never set pulses racing and emotions on a high!!
I sincerely hope it fails miserably and opportunistic leeches ie. the industrialists and actors never ever venture near the game!!
