IT IS NOT ALL FAIR FOR IRFAN PATHAN, THEY SHOULD CHANGED RANKING OF SHREESANTH TO GRADE C INSTEAD OF B, AND SHOULD BE GIVEN GRADE B TO A COMMITTED PLAYER LIKE IRFAN PATHAN.....

If u r saying only about that one final match, then wat about Harbhajan Singh who conceded 12 runs an over?If u take the tournament as a whole then Sreesanth was the one who made the dream come true of beating Australia. Also taking two priceless catches and that too in a tournament which saw a lot of simple catches put down.Thing twice before u say anything man.

What is your problem man ? Why u peoples after Sreesanth. Twenty-20 World Cup in India.. because of Sreesanth only. If he did not bowl well in Semi final you donkeys will not jump in your ass for the victory. Also he took a good wicket and 2 catches Afridi and Misbah. One of them is Golden Catch otherwise you can dream of this world cup. You all regional bias donkeys. Yes it is true.. they are not doing right with Irfan. He also should be in Grade B. Instead you nuts dont write against Sreesanth.

Looks like Malu woke up. No one has right to say about any players. It should be treated on there performance and not considering only on a single tournament.

Irfan Pathan got what he deserves - Grade C. The guy has been out of team of almost 6 months now. Every one else in grades above have played much more consistently than him. People should not get carried away with one good performance.
All Sr players especially Ganguly,Tendulkar etc shud be placed in Hit List category ie 12 lacs per year & if perform well Grade D onwards otherwise....simply sack & give way to youngsters instead of being selfish....

HIT LIST - BOARD SHOULD REVIEW. "HIT LIST" is interesting. But superstars cannot be in hit list. The rule of hit list should apply to all categories. Those who do no perform well for three matches at a stretch hould be downgraded to immediately next lower grade. Tandulkar and Ganguly have performed well recently and are in form. Rahul Rahul is out of form and has not scored well in ecent matches. DOES HE DESREVE GRADE A? BOARD SHOULD REVIEW.

In a straight way I would like to suggest that they have become outdated, now only younger player should be given chance to play.
Putting VVS Laxman and Veeru in Grade B is not at all justified when one considers that Dhoni who cannot play in pitches outside the Indian subcontinent and Yuvraj, who is totally helpless against class spinners, are in 'A' grade. Offcourse, VVS is not a good fielder but so is Zaheer. VVS is in fact one of the few batsmen who has a better success rate overseas than on Indian pitches, which is a great virtue.

i agree with u..laxman should be in grade A...he has been in this indian team for almost a decade now and he has played many crucial knocks and saved india in many situations in foreign soils...even in the last england tour he played well...but still he is always underrated...what else should he do prove BCCI that he is a world class player..
RE:Retainership ..............................
by Umesh M Tambe on Sep 28, 2007 05:31 PM
VVS is not a World Class palyer and does not deserve to be in Grade A. He is not sure of his place in ODI and will very soon loose his place in Tests to Yuvraj

Laxman's one day record is pretty good 6 centuries in 84 matches. He is the classiest batsman in the team. It is Ganguly who does not deserve to be in the 'A' group. But ever since Ganguly ditched Dalmiya he is being taken care of by Powar and co.

VVS should have agreed to part with 10-15% of his fees , and he wud have been in A grade...poor Guy.dosent Know about Sharad Pawar.... VVS dont worry Negotiate with Sharadji.or if u have a few acres of Sugarcane field, give it to him and he will oblige
Cricket is a team game Then why grade players Does grade A mean they are superior to others If so what is the criteria to assess GradeA player with grade D.

Pranam, u must be working somehwre, there u get diff salaries based on yoru performances.. this is to inspire u... else if u keep giving them omeny without any genuine out put.. u will face the world cup debacle where in the team was back at home before bangaladesh.. hope it got into your mind.. else.. forget the question..

pranam R U TELLING THAT THEIR IS NO DIFFRENCE BETWEEN SACHIN and Piyush Chawla, then u must b joking n u need a treatment.
RE:Why GRADE
by pranam on Sep 28, 2007 07:02 PM
Mr Raman and pops thank you,my query is not comparing players ablity etc Ssy in a match X was outstanding why dont u give more as incentive? Sachin cannot bowl as well as piyush nor Piyush can bat as well as Sachin But the fact is both have to do well if India has to win Then in that case why grade even before match starts In a particular game if A or B be it a newcomer or a senior does well give huge cash incentive. This grading introduces complacency on the part of GradeA and B guys
What have Nehra, Balaji and Bhandari done to receive the royal diss from BCCI? And suddenly, why is Laxman placed in the `B´contract category? BCCI is whimsical!
