Speculative article, inflammatory at best
by Seenu Subbu on Sep 26, 2007 06:47 PM

I know you guys can be scumbags, but this one beats it all. Is it the prerogative of Chief Ministers of all states to involve in largesses using state coffers? If other Chief Ministers did it, and Narendra Modi did not, who the heck are you to inform us that the "reason is as plain as the nose"? Please, please find other ways to feed your useless life, don't give us this nonsense.

Rs. 2 million? or $ 2 million?
by KT on Sep 26, 2007 06:45 PM

"The BCCI has announced an award of Rs 2 million to be shared by the team members"

I thought it was 2 million USD for the team members, not Rs 2 million.

Whose money is it?
by Spock the Vulcan on Sep 26, 2007 06:39 PM

Mr Zore,

did you ever pause to think whose money is it that is given to cricketers? Blistering barnacles, its YOUR TAX money (im glad its not mine) which is supposed to be for YOUR benefit. Its not as if Vilasrao or Kumaraswamy is giving out of his pocket. Let me ask this, will Kumaraswamy be ready to grant Uthappa a retail land from his vast acres acquiesced by force?

Rediff.com's quality has been degrading rapidly these days. Stinking movie reviews, Street-side bloggers, unintelligent interviewers are giving it a bad name.

Time to sell REDF stocks?
by Ripesh Patel on Sep 26, 2007 06:37 PM  | Hide replies

Dear Rediff %u2013 We can tag article comments as abusive but don%u2019t you think now its time to allow tagging such trash article as an abusive?
How much can you go lower to catch people%u2019s attention and make them click on catchy headline? This doesn%u2019t look like ethical way to conduct business. Is this is a sign that I should sell my Rediff stocks (REDF)?

come on....you should not associate Rediff and 'Ethical Business'.
Please check last one months' frontpage and you will come to the conclusion that it is acting as PR firm for ShahRukh Khan.

Speculation - when did you become news?
by Spock the Vulcan on Sep 26, 2007 06:33 PM

Agreed, Modi is media's favorite whipping boy. But when did speculation became headline news for rediff.com

This article, Mr. Zore is in extremely bad taste. Its after all cricket. Why pay 10 lakhs, 20 lakhs to people who are already making big money in ads etc. That money could be well spent for developmental work.

Im not a fan of Modi or his policies. But what he has done is correct. Govts dont have to fall head over heels for a cricket victory. They have other business to do. All other CMs are fighting just for limelight. Believe me, the victory is a fluke (or fixed). Go get your brain rinsed.

Great DMK Supremo
by jackson on Sep 26, 2007 06:21 PM  | Hide replies

Great Karunanidhi. Well Done. He has shown maturity that he is a person not controlled by emotions but senses. Like other state govt going gaga over announcing huge mindless rewards, Karuna just ignored the hype. He believes they are paid for what they have done and they have done for what they are paid. TN doesn't go crazy like other state govt. Why all cricketes need so much money, for what? Kalaignar brain works even at 80. Moderate people will appreciate him. WELL DONE KARUNA.

The half-blind fellow is a criminal and has married more than once without divorcing previous wife.

However, given that most feminists are professional protesters against normal things, it is no wonder they are studiously silent against Karunanidhi.
It is like animal right's activist practicing silence while living among slaughterhouses.

Since, secularism in India cinsists of abusing hindus and committing crimes, I think Karunanidhi is a great sickular leader.
