The facts about Yograj Singh
by dc on Sep 27, 2007 02:31 PM

In 2004 Singh was sentenced to six months in jail for "negligent and rash driving" in respect of an accident in 2000 in Chandigarh in which a scooter rider was seriously injured [4]. Yograj was one of the accused in Jessica Lal murder case, when the celebrity bar-tender was shot inside a crowded south Delhi restaurant. Yograj was alleged to have helped the main accused to flee, and later helped him to disappear for a few days

Main Problem with most of Indians
by sunit mozumder on Sep 26, 2007 04:33 PM  | Hide replies

Very nice and self explanatory article by Mr. Jograj Singh. But i have some thing to say to him. Mr. Jograj is not a famous person but because of his great son he is now famous. Our country India was ruled by British for 200 years that why lots of people have tendency to choose their role model as a foreigner. Here i have question why you do not select Indian cricket great players like Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavasker, etc. Please try to respect Indian then you will be respected.

Gavaskar?? How come he was a gr8 player so that people should choose him as their role model. He is one of the most selfish player India has ever had.

Dear, Emotion has no role to play in cricket. If u say respecting senior will serve the purpose and everybody should choose their role models based on the seniority, then there are plenty, (why Gavaskar alone??). Role Models are not lying on Road that one would pick the same and choose accordingly. In the mean time more than 1000 people have played for India, but we could hardly choose few as a role Model, who really play for India (WITHOUT LOOKING FOR THEIR OWN RECORD) and in this context Gavaskar does not fall. Remember the game when Gavaskar played for all 60 over and scored merely 36 runs!! Also how many current Indian batsmen had chosen Gavaskar their Role Model? Kapil Dev-- YES, he is a true Indian and really he played for his country.

Hence, gather enough information before passing any judgment.

Thanks for your nice comments but before made any comment please read every thing properly. What ever things you said are a common thing. This is the main problem with us (Indians), we can not respect our seniors. This is for your kind information Don Bardman was also selfish man and he was always behind his personal scorings and records. As he is Australian that why their country men always respect him. We can say all these things for Viv Richards, Brian Lara, Richard Hadlly, Ian Bottam, Cortny Walsh. But our tendency is to not respect our great people because of Jealousy.
Hence i can say same to you gather enough information before passing any judgement. It is realy a ominous thing that you are unable to name of any great Indian cricketers. But i know you can able to 100 names of white skin in a single breath.Try to love your country and come to tell us something like this.
I think next time you are not going to hide your name.

Bijoy Joseph
Yuvraj & Bradman
by Bijoy Joseph on Sep 26, 2007 01:42 AM

FUNNY and sheer stupidity, No Doubt Yuvraj is a Wonderful player, but I dont understand why people compare one person to the other. Yuvraj is Yuvraj and not Bradman.

Whatever you wish to compare with one player to the other that would never work out. Bradman had his own style, so did Sachin & So is Youraj. Forget it Yograj you cant Campare Yuvraj to Sachin itself what are u comparing him with Bradman.

Your son has earned honours with his hard work... accepted and appreciated but that does not give you a chance to compare him with any of the great players.

Let his consistency prove for long for him to be placed in the comparison list. Unfortunately we Indians are known for inconsistency, Let him earn his way of success.

You pushing him to the media would not get him that success.

Good work Team India and Keep up the Good work.

The Aussies are seething
by Para Mesh on Sep 25, 2007 09:26 PM

There, if any fuel was needed to goad Australia to wreak vengeance on India, Yograj has just given it. Look out, India. If you attempt to play one day cricket as a 20-20 one, then the result is a foregone conclusion. The aussies will wipe you out.

thats how YUVI failed
by Sreedhara N S on Sep 25, 2007 11:24 AM

i was wondering what happened to yuvi yester day??????/ this great father had a chat and i am sure he must have persuaded yuvi to underplay so that a defeat would remember yuvi as 'yuvi failed so we could not win'. Mr. father it will only take your son where he doesn.t belong. he belongs to great elite players and let him go there on his own.
