Bradman was nothing but hype...
by Daddy on Sep 24, 2007 04:43 PM  | Hide replies

Bradman is nothing more than sh-i-t of tendulkar. The time when he played cricket there was no good bowlers, fielders, training techniques and pressure. There was no reverse swing, no doosra, flippers and topspins. Just compare the fielding techniques of old matches and now there is a hell lot of difference. There were only few people who use to play cricket. I doubt he would have made to Aussies national side if he would have been alive now.

I think, we can analyse the different era, without disrespect to anyone. Yes, had the game would have been so competitive, probably, Bradman, would not have been that much successful, but then he could eqaully would have been too.

Just think, with that logic, on that account, our own national icon, Gandhiji would not have done anything, if freedom struggle, would have been on in today's world. Or, even our old generation would have not fetched much. We can not and should not comapre two altogather different era.

WG Grace, Vinu Mankad, Bradman, Sobers, Gawaskar, Kapil, Botham, etc. have played their part and we can never compare them with the gennext, whom in turn can not be comared with the generation 50 years down the line.

Respect for the individual is the key for any walk of life.

Then instead of talking here, why don't you go out without helmet and face the likes of Harold Larwood who was aiming at the head of Bradman in Ashes 1932-33?

Yuvraj keep it up
by sai krishna on Sep 24, 2007 04:41 PM

Whatever Yoghraj Singh, thinks about son may be true. But come on we have to play final and Pakistan knows very well that Yuvraj is a key. So they formulate different plans to counter him. Let him play a another big innings like he does against Australia and bring the 20-20 Cup to India. After that everybody in the world would say the same thing what yoghraj singh said about his son. First let us pray for our Team to play well in one more game and bring back the cup. They have shown the world they are the right winners of this cup. Come on India.

Leave Yuvraj alone!
by Arv Singh on Sep 24, 2007 04:40 PM

Ambitious parents like to control the destiny of their children. Yograj is doing the same. Yuvraj is more sensible and does not indulge in this kinda talk. Yuvi was very modest in his interviews in contrast to his father. I would advice Yograj to enjoy the game and appreciate the effort his son is making for the team. Also leave the captainship issue. Dhoni and Yuvraj are a great team as captain and vice captain. Let's not start another political issue over this. I wish Yuvraj and the entire team good luck for the final. Victory over Pakistan is always sweeter!!!

Yuvi
by Neo on Sep 24, 2007 04:38 PM

yuvi, is a hard hitter of the ball. He has power and some good strokes up his kitty. But he is nowhere even in the range of Ricky Ponting, Steve Waugh and finally Sachin, for even comparing to Bradman!

Yuvraj is a good player and he is adjustable to play any form of cricket, whether it is test, one-day or 20-20. He is what Dravid Dhoni.
All the best to Team India!!!

Yuvi is not the second bradman
by Nathan Dsouza on Sep 24, 2007 04:28 PM

Let Yuvi be himself and plz don't compare him with Sir Bradman it just a shame. Sir Bradman was the greatest along with Sir Gary Sobers to have played the game . Nobody from this generation has come closer to their greatness.
not even sachin, lara, pointing, Yuvi is very far behind.
