Amid all the Agarkar bashing, i'll just add few things!!
by Prabodh Jain on Sep 14, 2007 09:52 AM  | Hide replies

History of WC matches between India and Pakistan shows that India leads 4-0 !!
Having watched all 4 of them, i can tell you my observations :
1) Except the 2003 WC team, all the other times, the Pakistani team was vastly superior!! Yet we own comfortably on all ocassions cos our boys raised their game on the D Day!!

2) Pakistan are not able to raise their game and crumble under pressure against India in WC matches!!

3) This young Indian team is much better than having some oldies who can't run and throw!! So pls don't think that the absence of Dravid, Sachin and Ganguly has made us weak; rather now we will be a good 20-20 team!!

4) Spinners have always played a big role in English county 20-20 and they are generally more economical!! We have Sehwag, Yuvraj and Gambhir who can bowl good spin!! In addition to regular Chawla!!

5) I'am not a fan of Agarkar at all but SA conditions might suit Sreesanth and Agarkar!!

Hope India pulls it again!!

There's Harbhajan Singh Also. Don't forget that. Gambhir will never get a chance to bowl in an international match. Rather he should concentrate on his batting first. But India will definitely pull a great victory today for sure. Inshallah, hindustan ki jeet hogi.

that's a good observation Prabodh. Hope India keep the unbeaten in the WC by pakistan record intact. One more statistic for you that, for all the 4 games between India and Pakistan, David Shepherd was the Umpire. Here we don't have him. Just kidding!!!

Whether or not we win, indian team is better than pakistan. There's no Shoiab Akhtar at least who is beating Mohd. Asif. Our players at least dont abuse each other and don't fight like Pakistanis. Our players don't kill their coach. Whether or not Indian team wins, I would support them

by Kaushik Sriram on Sep 14, 2007 09:32 AM  | Hide replies

with agarkar in team we have to make atleast 250 runs in first batting.. else little chance of winning.he normally gives minimum of 60 runs in 10 overs(50 over match). and here in 20-20 the situation ll be different and more aggressive.. agarkar will earn some life-time award for being present in indian team for some 20 yrs without contributing anything.

Don't let emotions cloud your intellect!! There is cricinfo where you can easily check that he made his debut in 1998 a full 9 years ago!!

probodh, I was talking in future sense. My msg did not mean anywhere that agarkar joined at age of 9. to be more simple- Agarkar ll win a life-time award for serving the Indian Cricket with excellent bowling performance(for 20 yrs) in the year 2018. is this okay? he may also be the bowling coach after that.

he is in the team for the past one decade and will be in the team for one more decade.. may be more. if he continues to give 60-70 runs in 10 overs, i am sure he will be in the team for 20 more years... dont read hurriedly but coolly. otherwise you would interpret that he is playing in the team since he is in his mother's womb. way to go dear

where agarkar come in picture .? He is not there in team,If you see, all bowlers ki dhulai ho gayi hain even mcgrath ka bhi ye hal hota .
Agarkar is taking wickets in first 5 overs, it is more important.
Regarding contribution award first name will be of chetan sharma,He was in team as kapil was captian on his time. Other name raju(Azahr was captain)

raju? Raju Kulkarni!! may b u r right Mr. Marathe. But definitely not Chetan Sharma. He was a born fighter. Except for one occasion when he was hit for a six on the last ball by Miandad, he was a fighter. After Madan lal, Roger Binni, there were no other bowlers who could give companionship to Kapil at the other end. But the scenario now is different. We have lot many bowlers waiting in the wings now unlike when Kapil was the captain.
BTW, when Agarkar took wickets in the first 5 overs. He is a big big failure off late. Still he is continued in the team for reasons best known to selectors, or should i say Sharad pawar.

Message for Mr.Paki
by Anonymous on Sep 14, 2007 09:28 AM

Mr.Paki, we respect u pakistanis. We welcome u pakistanis. We like to make friendship with u pakistanis, PROVIDED u be in ur limits. The messages flooded by you is clear indication of what pakistanis do and think whenever we Indians are ready to shake hands for friendship. We r not terrorist country like you and abusing and saying anything for anyone's mother/daughter is not our culture. I am not saying that it is ur culture either. Recall ur Quran and tell me if u can talk about abusing any females. Nach nachana is not our culture, the traditional india dances is rather our culture. U have misunderstood between the traditional and other dances. Do not compare Pakistan with India anytime. India is great in it's own culture and so is pakistan. We welcome u on our forum but we would not tolerate u abusing our country and countrymen. My kind request to you is to mind your language.

Thanks
YASH

Don understand why dis guy called Agarkar gets selected, everytime inspite of below-par performances. Agarkar has been a regular match loser and a worst bowler a team can have in the death overs..Hes a Liability in T20

The justification is that he gets wickets. Now in a T20 match if his figures are 4-0-80-5 then how does that matter?
