India face up against Pakistan today with no practice game or game.It is a tough task against Pakistan which has a domestic T20 league. Also it is clear that line and length are most important.Pak bowling is superior.Indian batting and fielding have to come good,if India has to make a match of it.How did the BCCI allow such an under prepared team to go.Bangla captain says they prepared for a month.

if INDIA get out of world cup then....
BCCI should hv to provide a coach like JOHN WRIGHT once again or i think Shahrukh Khan can also do the same job...atleast he is far far better than Greg Chappel...
Kyun.......

it will be intresting match....

pakistan trumph cards afridi,younis khan,asif,gul..

as far as india is concerned there -ve aspect is lack preparation but on other hand there ve aspect is they were unknown material to this format..

who knows shewag might score quick 50 in 25 balls or pathan might pick 3 or 4 wickets with swing.

India's Uniform... Shame !!
by Joseph Judy on Sep 14, 2007 08:36 AM  | Hide replies

Its disheartening to see India wearing the same one day uniform for twenty 20 world cup. Its a shame. All major countries except the minnows (Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Kenya) have got wonderful uniforms. Even Scotland got a beautiful uniform for twenty 20. Srilanka's uniform seems to be the best. Its really not good to see India in this colour. Yuck... Its not good.

Vow... That's another good statistical information. Yeah really an unlucky uniform. India should prefer its original sky blue colour of the past.

It shows the interest of the BCCi in this format...they are busy trying to find ways to counter the ICL rather than taking interest in the cricket that is being played....

No wonder BCCI does not want to WASTE money in such things since BCCI is the richest board in the world. Their richness and greediness is indication of their member's huge tummies!!!

team composition
by mvs raju on Sep 14, 2007 08:35 AM  | Hide replies

i still have doubts about the team composition..

even in 20-20 they were going with 5 specialist bowlers...with a long tail

if you look closely at this competition so far the medium pacers and spinners have done the major damage..not the quickies..even australia falter with 4 fast bowlers..where ball comes on to the bat easily.

secondly there are likely to step up a couple of no balls..with free hit rule they are bound to give extra runs...

and finally captain likely to struggle with over rate mind you they have to bowl overs above 15 per hr

having said that its not a bad idea only aganist pakistan...they are vulnerable to seaming conditions...if conditions remain same as yesterday.

You are correct Raju. But do we really have a right set of players who could fit in the playing eleven? Mmmm... Let me try how about a playing eleven like this: Sehwag, Uthappa, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Karthik, Dhoni, Irfan, Harbhajan, Piyush, Agarkar, Sreeshanth
