ICL and BCCI both will flooded with money by endorsements and we the poor fans will throw our hard-earned money to these jokers who are nothing to do with cricket?????

Who will provide FAST BOUNCY tracks to improve the standard of our players.....NO ONE neither ICL nor BCCI....without this the same SAGA will continue and we will also continuously cry after every defeat.....

Think it over friends......choice is yours!!!

Fan dont throw any money.
The consumers are reached out to by companies, who use the match telecasts to sell their products, by using the cricketers as salesmen.

No cricket fans loses money. If a viewer buys a refrigerator or a bike or a paint, he does it because he needs it, not because he is a cricket fan.
Get real bhai!Stop blaming crickers, try understanding simple economics.

why foreign teams??
by drphalaksh walishetty on Sep 13, 2007 08:43 PM  | Hide replies

i m totally miffed, why should indian money go to 2 australia 2 south african and english team??
dont we have enough population?
prize money is good so if these australians and south african want to play then they should be playing for a indian club as a foreign player with indian salary. this will absolutely make sure that most benefits go to inda.

This BCCI is absolutely brainless egoistic corrupt people, they will do anything to destroy ICL. But ICL is much smarter institution in comparision to BCCI. I will rather support ICL, and see our youngsters play over the BCCI's tournament.

BCCI vs ICL
by Dhosa on Sep 13, 2007 08:40 PM  | Hide replies

This is just so comical act by BCCI. I just can't see BCCI eclipsing ICL, with the current strcture that BCCI has. The BCCI will do everything to maintain their power and supremacy in Indian cricket. The competition is between bunch of incompetant currept bunch of BCCI against highly educated trained marketing brains of ICL. I am sorry but I think it's ICL's game all the way..

BCCI's PCL is a very smart move, as qouted by south african Mr.Southerland cricket Australia, SA, Shrilanka were planning this league for a year. Its based on English premiere league.Their format is innovative.Corporates can buy a team through tender. This means more moeny to cricketers.Congrats BBCI. You people are just superb.............

Its nice the competition has started once ICL (kapil dev & team)began to form. This competiton will defenitely produce good cricketers but at whose money. Its all indian peoples money. Why not spend the money for the development of other sports or for the development of providing good sporting equipments to all Indian government schools. So that every poor guy/gal can make it to top. We should outnumber in the Olympics with lots of medals but now we are not able to win a second world cup title with so much of money with Indian board....sorry its indian people money with the Indian cricket board. (these money are obtained through all advertisements of all products for which everybody has to shell out from their hard earned pockets)

We are talking about cricket here not poverty or government of India. Its government responsibility to take care of the poor not any organization.

Maybe government can tax BCCI more and use that money for providing basic neccessary for poor people in India.

So dont blame BCCI or ICL for India's poverty

Its gonna mess up things. Who is going to follow all these leagues. Heard of Hongkong-Malaysia Sixes... Do you follow ranji, kanga leagues and other such things... its going all in vain... After 2 yrs, if they have brains, they will compromise and merge into each other to have some breathing space in this crazy rat race for money..... mark it, ICL, IPL, West indies league all gonna fail and merge into each other otherwise there are no takers for all these bullshit. Lotsa other things in life to do man why waste after all these Dinesh Mongias and retired Warnes,Mcgraths....

very well said. too much cricket will prove detrimental! they should stop the 50-50 version altogether and replace it with t20 or there will be three versions of cricket. its crazy. i think cricket in West Indies has received its final blow after the t20 exit.

I agree with your tone. I actually would say if BCCI had a brain they will support ICL and form cross functional team to take the most advantage for Indian cricket from the ICL's efforts.

BCCI can be controlled. Its a body of people representing their states. They have to go through elections.they have to keep their account books open.they have to answer every penny spend.Sharad pawar and other members are not the owners or proprietor of BCCI, they are only the trustees.Thats not the thing with ICL.Its a personal property of Mr.Subhaschandra.he is not responsible to anybody. He is here to make moeny and to make charity.......

After ICL started cricket league, BCCI started as well.

Now ICL is going to live telecast their team selection. Will BCCI follow ICL as well in Selection process.

Its good for Indian cricket and true talents in the country.

BCCI does not have any innovative thoughts will just follow like a goat whatever others do.

Chake de ICL

Why not put brains and money into preparing more solid Sania Mirzas, Leander Paes, Jaspal Rana, Vishy Anand. Y not BCCI putting its money into something like Amul's Varghesse. They gonna make money anyways, instead of messing up the already messed-up cricket in this country. Like Sonia stood up for Ram Sethu, y not some other powerful person tell these idiots that they are wasting their resources.... GOD SAVE INDIA and INDIANS

Why not you give all your money to government of India.

How can you guys think so cheap.

First understand what BCCI or ICL is. BCCI and ICL are there for cricket. They should spend money only for the improvement of cricket.

If you want to improve tennis or football. Let the respective organization or board invest their money in that. Why ask BCCI or ICL to invest in that.

Also BCCI or ICL can not invest for poverty or in government of India. If government of India wants they can tax BCCI and ICL, i totally agree with that but Governement of India can not ask BCCI or ICL to use their money for charity purpose.

PLease guys use your brain before post such comments. Will you give all your money for the betterment of other sports like Tennis or Football or Hockey?

Will you give all your moeny for betterment of India or for food to the poors???

BCCI is afraid of ICL. We can see competition in every field. Cricket should not be an exception. Indian Team should not be the monopoly of the BCCI. Every Indian has the right to get selected irrespective of where he is associated. Let us give support to ICL so that we can make better Indian Team. Govt should take steps to include the Indian players who associated with ICL. Let us wish all the best to ICL and BCCI in making better Indian Players.

Its hard to find as to what maybe the reason of BCCI to open a 20-20 league. Is it power , money , or real love for the game? Well i personally think its more of showcasing power. Money is not a factor for BCCI and real love doesn't matter when its business. BCCI wants monopoly and will invest whatever amount they require to do.Is that good for the sport ? The answer is flying in the air...

First BCCI confronted ICL, now quickly ready to copy the concept itself. It will be better to openly admit mistake, reconcile and merge BCCI resources with ICL - personal ego of ex-captains should not be allowed in the way. Hiring and then firing Greg Chappell was a painful lesson...
