I don't think that he is doing best behind the stump..Especially the catches he can easily take has been given away to the first slip.. the person fielding at the first slip is often surprised and become dump footed by the Dhoni's attitude towards the ball coming to the slip cordon..

Give me one Answer, When was the last time Sachin scored runs when India needed 280 or more runs in One day Cricket or Stayed on the crease in the 4th Innings of a Test match to save it.

Agarkar never won a match for India in last so many years, do u remember any batting display from him in recent years or wickets without giving too many runs.

arey bhai.. team should be based on perfomance and not bcoz someone is from certain region of the chairman of BCCI. We all love tendulkar for what he is today. Sachin is no doubt that India have ever given to the international cricket. no one can even imagine to rewrite his records.. but u put him in list with agarkar. Agarkar was the fastest to pick 50 wickets in ODI but the truth is he is not bowling to his potential and he is really bad at scoring runs recently. so HE IS UNDER CRITICISM BECAUSE OF HIS FORM AND NOT BCOZ HE IS A MAHARASTRIAN.

It is not a obsession about finding mistakes in Sachin, But it was reply to the guy who wrote this message where he is tryin to prove that only Maharashtrians are good players, not others.
So first bring some understanding in you that how to interpret the message.
2) This is the high time to realize that Sachin is just a good cricketer, not a great Cricketer. Otherwise he would have performed like Ponting, Steve Waugh or Brian Lara in pressure situations.

people ask, why does sachin not play when india requires the most. is sachin alone required to ensure india's victory ? what are other 10 players there for ? in his 42 centuries and 80 half centuries and 150 wickets he has won so many matches single handedly for india. can you name any other player on whom indian team relied so much for so long ? he is performing consistently since 17 years, but a team effort is required to win matches.

i dont deny that there might be lobbying going on behind the scenes, but that was also the case when dalmiya & co were in charge and also when dungarpur & co were in charge. lobbying always happened. kapil dev and his cronies like chetan sharma ,manoj prabhakar , kirti azad , maninder singh , raman lamba used to hog around with no purpose. have you forgotten that?
maharashtrian players like gambhir , powar etc have played well so they can justify their place in the side. if they fail they should be dropped.

irfan bowls at 60-70 miles which is just faster then KUMBLE! BALAJI is just like PRASAD good for nothing! Sreesanth deserves to be in TEAM INDIA he has definate potential but nobody knows why he has not been picked and AGARKAR is termed as best bowler in INDIA!
This is time that BCCI should learn from the england series. it does not make any sense that we replace elder players just because of their age. Young players need to play better then sachin,sourav or rahul to establish themselves. but upto the date the scenario is such that if sachin and sourav get runs in the opening the team reaches a good score, at least 8 out of 10 times. When sachin came to the team, he played better than the elders to shift himself as a fulltime player.

To become world beater in international cricket we should break "ZONAL and RELIGIOUS" mindset!
We as a TEAM INDIA fan support entire team rather than supporting particular member!
We should stop bashing SACHIN, SOURAV, RAHUL! We all know that there is no unity in supporters we rather bring in ZONAL feeling into it!
Adding to this, BCCI, Captain, and senior members of TEAM INDIA should make sure that TEAM is selected based on recent performance and not on the past or historical performance!

u r absolutely correct. i wish to point out that to recuperate loss from world cup (money/advt), they hv to build the reputation by accepting bookies bet. If a spirited TEAM INDIA, may have won the second test, but the bookes played the game well and won! The same situation is in the ongoing ONE DAY SERIES!!!
