Learn from the great West Indians
by Ravi Palagummi on Oct 11, 2007 04:20 PM

While Sreesanth might feel like repaying the Aussies in the same coin, he should learn to take an example from cricketing history: how the great West Indian fast bowlers dealt with Tony Greig, who wanted to "make them grovel", way back in 1976. Roberts, Holding, Daniel and Co were extremely polite to Greig in person, on and off the field, but were extra hostile while bowling to him, making his life as a batsman miserable.

Shame

Mr. Vengsarkar is 100% right when he sent warning signal to non performing old cricketers.
Younger players & Shewag should be pressed more.
Shreeshant should restrict only to cricket or he has to choose comedy roles in Malayalam movies. He is fit for that.
The Elephants (old cricketers) can be proud of
their strength but not of the size of the DUNG
they produce.

Sree should concentrate more on his bowling
by Kumar Vedantham on Oct 11, 2007 03:21 PM

Sree has done enough damage to opponents. He will be appreciated very much if he gives the answers with his powerful bowling in future. We do not want to see him loosing his career with politics. If he retains and hone is skills, what he exhibited in South Africa, he will be very successfull.
Passion Agression Talent = Sucess
Cheers to Sree.

Put your foot down
by Ganesh Parameswaran on Oct 11, 2007 03:00 PM

I demand that the BCCI, with its enormous clout and money power, force the bullying teams, (viz.) Australia, England and South Africa, and their boards to accept and implement a no-tolerance policy in sledging. It is not in our culture to accept insults to one's parents, spouse and siblings. If the Aussies were to say on our streets anything that they say on the field to the timid Indian players, who are constrained by the imbecile BCCI, then they would be lynched like in Bihar. I wonder why the Indian players just don't lie down on the pitch and refuse to continue to play until the insults stop? something needs to be done now.

Sledging

Reading this article made me think that we are in the WWE ring and the players involved are the HHH,Batista,Khali,Undertaker, Mark Henry et al and not cricketers.

Back Sreesanth
by maltesh manappa arer on Oct 11, 2007 02:56 PM

We really need to back and support Sreesanth. Until now not even a single player from India has got in to the skin of Aussies like this. Here's the person who is irking Aussies like anything. Lets not be critical about his behaviour on/off field. He is just giving back Australians what they gave us Indians all these days, i.e."pain in the Ass"
