Certainly Parthiv%u2019s recent performances r such that even a regular batsman may be dreaming of scoring runs like him on all pitches/conditions.
Now he is a matured lad n he is not merely ghar ka sher like others. he has shown his worth not only as keeper, but also as a batsman and as opener. think when young parthiv could handle bolr like andre nel with guts, how wud he perform after maturity.

why was Munaf playing for ROI and not Mumbai?
by Hiren Bhavsar on Oct 10, 2007 11:42 AM  | Hide replies

i really wonder because he was in mumbai's ranji team last time i saw..how come he switched teams..
i wonder what would have been the result..also without sachin, rohit sharma mumbai was always at loss in terms of batting..
it's funny now munaf will be back in the team based on his bowling against a weak mumbai batting on 4th day pitch..

munaf was in roi coz he has shifted to and now representing maharashtra team. a fit and rejuvenated munaf can b a lethal weapon against mumbai or any intnl team.

Test captainship will destroy Dhoni
by Juzer H on Oct 09, 2007 06:26 PM

Dhoni should not be burdened with captainship of all the three versions of cricket. Infact, India should ideally have 3 separate teams and 3 captains for each version of cricket. Given the talent pool that has emerged from 20-20 and India 'A' matches, it will be in best interest of the country to have 3 professional teams, each one focussed on one type of game only. Given the amount of International cricket being played these days, 3 separate professional teams should be the order of the day.
Sachin and Dravid should be included in the Test team. Also, top performers from Rest of India and Mumbai teams must be rewarded with a place in the national team for any one version of cricket.

Where are mumbaikars?
by Beejoo Brijwasi on Oct 09, 2007 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

Miserable defeat of Mumbai in Irani Trophy forces me to think that Mumbai bosses of cricket are more interested in including Agarkar in Team India instead of making their team. Are there no talents in Mumbai other than Tendulkar?

hahahahahaha
a mumbai team without stars like R sharma and Tendulkar..and a collective stars of ROI had to make an 11 to beat them..obviously they will win..

Probably Kaif has become a nightmare for you guys.

AGARKAR 11 N.O: Into the Team India as Batsman
by sushil es on Oct 09, 2007 04:53 PM  | Hide replies

Agarkar would be back in team on strength of his batting performance. If he hadnt run out of partners he would have taken Mumbai to win, first with his batting and then by his bowling. Poor fellow didnt get a chance becuase of his team mates.

JAI JAI AGARKAR... Vengsarkar Watching.

Sushil
Ask yourself this question - have u any day supported or said Jai Jai to someother state player purely because of his talent?
Dont take for granted that since vengsarkar is chief selector its an open door entry to big time looser agarkar

kick the third mumbaikar out of team
by Jarnail singh on Oct 09, 2007 04:51 PM  | Hide replies

vengsarkar is mumbaikar. he can not think beyond mumbai. just when we kicked out motoo romesh powar and included murali karthik in the team we have won the match. only god knows why two off spinners were in the team. harbhajan was already their then need was to take a leg spinner or a left arm spinner. murali karthik or piyush chawla should have included earlier. if they are not upto ur expections mr vengki then why kumble is out of the team? just because of your mumbai politics. you have shown him the door just to make sure that dravid as a captain do not get support from a senior player. you included agarkar and powar in the team just for the sake of regionalism. this same vengsarkar was opposing the regional selector system tooth to nail just before becoming chief selector. now what he is doing? shameful person. when agarkar was kicked out of team then only we could win matches in south africa and twenty twenty world cup. now when we have shown the door to powar we have won the match in chandigarh. third mumbaikar tendular tried his best to make sure that we do not win but god has something else in his mind. so all of you can understand now who's turn to kick out.

Jarnail ji, I agree with your comments on Agarkar and Powar. However Sachin Tendulkar is an all time great Cricketer and deserves respect. Even in England, 20/20, and against Austrailia, his average has been well above average.

Shut ur filthy mouth.....
Why u guys always get into state Vs state debate? Powar is still a better bolwer than many others. Look at his performance over last 2 yrs. Don't just blame players based on their caste or state.
STOP makin any comment on SACHIN. U, me are very small to make any comment on player of his stature.

MUMBAI IS LACKING REAL TALENT AFTER TENDULKAR ERA
by cebujonas on Oct 09, 2007 04:34 PM

------------------
Last real talents Mumbai produced are Tendulkar and Kambli...

They must look back into basics rather than pressurising selectors
