Chips planted in stumps, bats, ball and few corners in different angles of the gorund fence can easily and accurately used IN ELECTRONIC UMPIRING...

AND INSTRUCTIONS COULD BE GIVEN BY 3rd UMPIRE TO THE STADIUM

UMPIRES LIKE SHASTRI OR BUKNOR NOT REQUIRED IN THE MIDDLE

BUT WE NEED FEW WWF HEAVY WEIGHTS IN THE MIDDLE to intervene if players like Ponting or Sreesanth fire sledging into body matching...

ROI's thumping victory over Mumbai re-establishes the fact that most of the Mumbaikars are in Team India due to the political reasons rather than their playing skills.

ROI is team of best players from ranji teams of states put together. Of course they have to b better than any Ranji team. Mumbai Team is much better than all ranji team's in India. Get ur facts right n then comment.

How can you ommitt Sachin 0 16 43 (71 Balls) 79 runs in 20overs? Infact it was becuase of Umpire error he scored 79 runs. Otherwise it should have been only 1 Run.

Sachin is God of cricket. No other batsman bradman can match his calibre. We won last odi because of his fluent batting. Knows how to read situation & bat accordingly. Critics shld understand this. And yes, Agarkar is the match winner we need.

Yeah fuent batting 79 runs in 20 overs. He should got to Gilchrist, Hayden and Symonds coaching classes to know what is fluent batting. in fact he was out for One run. It was becuase of Umpire error he scored runs almost at the cost of Team Indias victory

Agarkar bowling analysis in the match
first innings
21 2 101 1 4.80
second innings
3.5 0 31 0 8.08

Forget wickets, even his economy rate even by ODI standards is very high. After this he should not be selected for any international match.

How dare you comment about the blue-eyed Ghat? Agarkar will be the only ever cricketeer to enter international cricket as a "lad with ptential" and retire, still as a "lad with potential". As long as Ghats like Vengsarkar and Pawar are linked with Indian cricket, imbeciles like Agarkar will need to be carried around. Remember in 1982, Sunil Gavaskar took his fellow Ghat, "Suru Nayak" to England. Agarkar and Nayak are both the curse of Indian cricket being dictated to by one association. Incidentally, they both were all-rounders who could not bowl or bat. Thanks, P.B.Mohan

I agree with Mohan - he will always be a lad with potential..he was the first change / second change when he started with Srinath and Prasad...then first change to Zaheer / Nehra/Balaji and now he is first-second change to Sreesanth and RP Singh.....

that shows ur ignorance...he has also bowled with new ball on plenty of occasions..btw as far as comparison with zaheer is concerned he may not have done as well as zaheer in tests, agreed. but i was talking about their lack of form, one year back no one thought zaheer will be back in the indian team ever but he did come back and perform. just don't count out someone who has taken 287 wickets from 190 ODIs. he still is a very good ODI player. he just needs to rediscover his rhythm to come back into form. if u see indian bowling as not been all that great in present series especially fast bowlers.

You are really funny.. You want Powar, Kambli, Agarkar to be part of the Indian team.?? If you want to make the discussion board to be an interesting place and want many of you to reply to your messages you better learn to be sensible first.. You can make people to reply to your messages by writing something wise and not rubbish like this..

It's the right time to sideline the undeserving players from mumbai. You will witness Mumbai getting thrashed in Ranji and other tournaments from next year as all the other teams have started producing better quality players.

MUMBAI the Mecca of Cricket? jelly bean you must be joking....by what accounts is it the Mecca?

1) The quality of players? forget about it. after tendulkar Mumbai has not produced anybody else who has played for the Indian team consistently, on the other hand take Karnataka they have given:
(1) Dravid
(2) Kumble
(3) Srinath
(4) Prasad
(5) Uthappa (possibly)

2) In terms of ambience Eden gardens takes the cake any day.

3) In terms of quality of cricket matches hosted, bangalore and chennai have hosted matches of a far more quality.

4) Even in terms of spirit, Mumbai has been unable to thwart the SHivsena and host Pakistan even though the Govt does not object to it. So even in terms of administration it lags behind.

So please realize that Mumbai wins the trophy because the have the strongest domestic team not necessarily the best cricketers.

Regards

Parthiv and Kaif are waiting for the recall...
by Gyan Guru on Oct 09, 2007 03:17 PM  | Hide replies

Some years back Indian team was really looking for a nice wicket keeper who can bat a bit also and look at the situation now, we already have Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik in the team and Parthiv Patel is banging heavily on Indian team doors. Parthiv has made 5 centuries on a trot and his Irani trophy performance is definitely going to earn him a place in Indian team soon. Sadly for Mohd. Kaif, he can only join the Indian team as a non playing captain. His performance as captain of India A and other teams has been excellent but with the bat he was not able to do much.
