I think the era of Sachins, Gangulys & Dravids have come to an end in One Day Cricket. They need to be played in Test Cricket only for more focus and best results.
Then only new Tendulkars, Gangulys and Dravids will emerge. India don't have crunch of talents. Only the BREAK needs to be given at the right team (peak time of the player), when he is confident. Just like the case of Badrinath, who is brimming with confidence at the moment. I favour a different team for test & one dayers. Can comprise 4-5 common players, but surely allrounders be given more chances in One Dayers. It is really good to see youngsters like Uthappa, Gambhir, RP, etc. performing good and I think this is right time to give chance to atleast 4-5 more players (allrounders) for better balance of the team and who can slog at the time of need, just like Pathan.
But at the same time, we need Sehwag also. He can balance the team in a great way. He can inspire youngsters.
Prepare a pool of at least 18-20 players and give chance on rotation basis, and within a year or so, we can have a future team with us.
Dhoni has done well, but he needs to take more risk with the batting order. Some surprise changes can alter the plans of the opposition and favour you. Say, like sending Pathan or Bhajji in slog overs (last 4-5 overs), instead of Dravid.
why rotation policy is not applicable to seniors like dravid, sachin, ganguly?.....sachin himself says that it is difficult recover in ODIs due to shaort span of tim for recovery.....so why play every ODI match?....in a series of 7 matches these seniors can well take rest for 3 or 4 matches and give chance for youngsters...this is the right way of playing ODIs....as they are seniors and been playing from 15 yearsthey can easily adjust even though lack of match practise and can be looked fresh in the matches they play..... ..why always feel herculean weight upon them by playing every match?.......take rest for a few matches and begin freshly with the remaining matches.....

Perhaps you have no knowledge about cricket, because all over the world cricket team you will see that there is a blending of mixture of senior and junior players. It is immaterial who are the seniors will take part in the game. Total team comprised with junior players may face the problem of tact & strategies. Therefore try to understand the cricket game and stop passing idiotic remarks.

See this is our problem, when a scribe approaches these youngsters, do u expect them to say "I DONT SPEAK TO NOBODY JUST WATCH ME PLAY AND FILL IN THE BLANKS" comeon man gimme a break
Where are those pigheaded twins Godzilla and Lucky who made filthy remarks against me when I suggested Badrinath for the team. These sick people who do not know abcd of cricket write all kind of abuse on writers in this col. Unfortunately they sadistically enjoy thrir remarks! Now they know eho Badrinath is..

Hi, ratnesh here, badri seems to be very confident , we that type of sprit, lekin kahne se kaam nhi chalegaa, show yr performance on field. then we all Indian will say BADRI IS REALLY A GREAT PLAYER.
Poor Badri will have to warm the bench irrespective of the benchstrength the thinking/planning is still the same i.e.follow the oldies.Team won the T-20 without oldies who backed out due to failure of failure.Time has come Dhoni to think with present and future of Indian team in mind

he will be given a chance or two. either he will be thrown out or selectors will say he has more years of cricket in him, so let him wait for few more years.
