Parthiv is better choice.
by uncle shame on Oct 06, 2007 01:13 PM  | Hide replies

dhoni is not a good bat in conditions where ball is doing somthing in air or off the pitch. Of late he has forgotten his batting even in indian pitches.
Parthiv is the best choice available wu is consistently performing with both bat n glove against all the quality opponents. give him a chance. even he can b tried as opener also just like Dinesh karthik

bringing left arm spinner
by uncle shame on Oct 06, 2007 01:12 PM

was right decision. as both bhajji n powar r same kind of right arm offie. left arm spiner gives a variety. but choice of Oza might hv been better although murli may hv performed in english county.

india has lost its 2nd one day with australia by a pretty big margin.
i think they are still basking in the glory of winning the not so great t20 cup.
i think they shud wake and start playing some good cricket

DHARMA RAO
RIGHT COMBINATION
by DHARMA RAO on Oct 06, 2007 11:43 AM

It is good step taken by BCCI replacing KARTIK in the place of POWER, It is the right combination of off & leg spin.I hope good for upcoming matches against AUS.

Karthik is OLD!!
by supandi on Oct 06, 2007 11:09 AM  | Hide replies

Murali Karthik is almost 32 year's old. How long would he realistically serve Indian cricket?

BCCI needs to perform a surgery on indian cricket team, instead, they are applying a bandage and hoping it'd solve the problem.

They should have picked an upcoming young left arm spinner like RAJESH Pawar or Ravinder Jadeja. Former was part of Indian team in Scotland and India A as well. Latter is a known under 19 spinner.

his inclusion is imperative and need of the hour to salvage some prestige. who else ? Bhaji is in a pad patch - not taking wickets and giving rons of runs - piyush is down due to injury. kumble is retired already. so the inclusion of karthik is the only and best option available. Powar cannot be fit into our scheme of things - palyers should be energetic and aggressive too in the field within the permissible limit. Professional approach is a must. why Gangully is dropped, the only fearless man and tons of runs to his credit. who we have to blame, the selectors, or the shri pawar or a biased selection procedure to accommodate somebody at the cost of somebody just to please somebody.

HaiHai Sourav
young and oldies!
by HaiHai Sourav on Oct 06, 2007 10:53 AM

Please understand the basic facts that TEAM INDIA is always sub-standard...WC 1983 was pure fluke just like T20 win! Team INDIA is complete non-sense see their records over the years. Most of the players are over hyped and media created over-rated players!

I dont understand why people here fight over senior-junior issue??

why bengalis fight over Ganguly??

why Southies fight with Northies??

Are we having sub-standard mentality like our TEAM INDIA's sub-standard ability?

Why can't we get united and get over this and accept the basic fact that TEAM INDIA is always SUB-STANDARD no matter you pick SACHIN, SOURAV, DRAVID, DHONI, YUVRAJ or any damn youngster!

Its shame on us!

one more person can play.. i suggest to include Sarath Powar also, he will be a good fielder in silly point. No ball will pass him, but don't give any helmet to him. If we are fourtunate something will happen..
