If selectors like you comes... Then there will be no name of India in Cricket like hockey
My team for Delhi test would be, 1. Washim jaffer 2. dinesh kartck (WK) 3. Dravid 4. Tendulkar 5. ganguly 6. Yuvraj 7. Laxman 8. Zaheer Khan 9. Harbhajan 10. Murli Kartick 11. Kumble
I would like to play three spinners in delhi test. Openning bowling will be from zaheer and ganguly for max 14 overs, then bring back spinners into attack on end with with zaheer. I would like to rest Dhoni,bcoz he is fit for ODI team. Kartick has to be grommed for test WK, then we will have an extra specialist batsman.
Chauhan is right when he said we need to go with 3 spinners. 5 bowlers - 6 batsman combination is best for India. Especially when Munaf patel is making a comeback and noone is sure about his fitness and Harbhajan is not the best bowler in tests so its must to have Murali karthik in the team.
I think Sehwag is badly needed for this test series.. He is one guy whom PAK fears a lot, coz Sehwag scored his 3 double hundreds against PAK(309,264,201)...Also he faced Akhtar, Gul & Kaneria in many occassions..The selectors did wrong..

Nobody fears on history.... Pak team will be more delighted if they see Sehwag in playing 11. They will called it playing 10.

I dont think he have tried sehwag a lot.. he is not hungry for runs.. karthick is doin much better to him in tests.. We had enough of shewag..

i agree..but hoom to replace with??cant demoralise a progressing dinesh kartik..cannot detabilize the ever consistent classical jaffer..cant remove sachin till his life time..cant stop drabs as hes the best..the tossup cd be between laxman and dada..am sure laxman always plays well against aussies and no one else...so it has to be him..and in teh future, we can repalce dada with yuvi..
Kumble plans to go in with 2 spinners only.With the Kotla wicket likely to have some bounce in the beginning and then play out for spin,it is safer to go with 2 spinners and 2 fast bowlers.So Munaf shd play.Let us see hoe he goes.On his day he can be good and he has some experience.

knowing rajesh,as i do, one can trust him to give his brutally frank opinion about cricketing matters. i am therefore not surprised that he has given honest views about harbhajan singh.

Certainly...Rajesh has always been straight-forward and impartial in his playing days...having played with him in Ranji I can vouch for that
Rajeev shukla, Sharad PAWAR, Ratnakar Shetty, Niranjan Shah. Two are polititians who have never done any achievement in politics but always a pain for Indian public. Other two who ?? They have guts to take action against Kapil Dev. No Place for Bedi, Prasanna, Anshuman, Patil, madan Lal, Navjot Sidhu,. Thanks to Indian public who are crazy after cricket, media which covers it most with experts like Saba Karim, Ashok malhotra, Atul Wassan etc. (recall their contributions) and the sponsors who pour in so much money. Because of Money, charms and exposure cricketers are doing well. Jut remove money and media exposure, these wise people in BCCi will bring Indian cricket to the state of our Hockey. Hockey - national Game for India, nine time gold medal in Olympics, Once world champions, and now Asia champions. What is the situation of hocek. Where are super players Jafar Iqbal, Mhd. Shahid, Ashok Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, great Dhanraj.
Have too many ODI's,bowling flat ,killed Harbajan's art.This makes the case for keeping the Test specialist separate from the ODI's. While Chauhan may not have set the Yamuna on fire and Harbajan did once,his comment is valid.Harbajan has become a defensive bowler in Tests.He gets worked up when he goes for runs.And then gets flatter in a run denying mode.He needs Kumble to encourage him to get to the old loop. The Kotla pitch will assist spinners.But if Pak win the toss and bat first we could be in trouble.So better to go in with Zaheer,Munaf,Harbajan and Kumble.It is a toss up between Karthik and Harbajan,with Karthik being the better bet with more righthandersin the Pak teamOn India's spin resources,it is a bit bare.Mishra is a more canny leggie than Chawla and shd replace Kumble eventually if he keeps up the good work.Chawla can work at it and is the best longterm prospect.Offspinner after Harbajan is not there.Ojha left arm possible but much down the road.Murali Karthik is easily the best in this category.Yuvraj too can hone his left armers and be an asset.
