IF THEY ARE INT IN CRICKET THEY CAN CONTINUE TO BE IN TOUCH WITH CRICKET BY ESTABLISHING A CRICKET ACADEMY TO TRAIN YOUNGSTERS. THEY CAN MAKE MONEY EVEN AFTER RETIREMENT.

India's played cricket for more than 50 years, and for those 50 yrs wasted....I mean.... invested in cricket we have won 1 WC(1983......just recently),inspite of having world class player,i mean pple with more than 10,000 runs n more than 350 odi's(thats how we define class),cum on guys we need winners not world classsss players who'll suck Indian cricket's blood for eternity.Its high time we started investing in winners and demand accountability from sachin,dravid n company.Unless that happens....Indian cricket will be in doldrums for another 50 years.

Sachin Tendulkar WAS a great player, theres no denying this.But for some odd reason he refuses to call it a day.All greats have this ability to know when to quit and it is best for all concerned that an all time great player like sachin tendulkar realizes that his time is up and he should make way for other talented players. i just do hope and pray that there is no dirty politics or ulterior motives involved here, otherwise some time in the future the truth will ultimately come out and sachin will spoil his good image for all time. behram
Oh foolish Indians - stop worring how many years are left in Sachin, Amitabh, Jaya, etc. These people, including the politicians, have made tons that will last for their next 10 generations.
And what happens to the comman man - with great difficulty he stabilises in a job by 25 years, compelled to take Voluntary Retirement by 45 and compulsorily retired by 55 / 58. Whereas these politicians and public figures mint money till their last breath. They may have gone senile, may not be able to stand on their legs, etc. - that's a different story.
Do not worry - If one Sachin goes there will be 1000 others in our one billion population. We only need to skim and get to the butter.
Please stop worrying about Sachin and worry about yourself and your family's future. Might as well try immigrating to the U.S. or Australia before India is divided betweeen Pakistan and Bangladesh by these politicians.

This is a very valid point you have made. Let us see it in another way : The chief of Army staff who has the responsibility for the entire Indian Army ground forces; the chief justice of the supreme court; the solicitor general of India, etc etc draw a monthly salary of max 50 to 60k a month. These senior people undoubtedly make a contribution to the country which cannot be compared to these lazy and non commotted cricket players. on the other hand a inconsistent and I would say a NIT WIT player like Dhoni has ammased a fortune of more that 34 Crores of rupees in the last 3/4 years. What justice is this. How can we as Indians accept such a great anomaly. Also in part we are responsible for this ridiculous situation. The media, big corporates, financers are behinf thises games we all should get together and fight htese ba????ds. Only then some thing good can come out. Behram

I believe, Pramod Mahajan was worth several crores when he died. Why should anyone shed tears for such people and their family. If he had survived he would have amassed several more crores for his near and dear ones. And from where is all the money coming - from fools like you and me. Is the Congress is any better - we are all aware of the Bofors Sacm, the Telephone scam, etc.
India is a Democracy, no doubt - only the definition has changed. India is a Democracy of the Politicians, by the Politicians and for the whims and fancies of the Politicians. Politician category is inclusive of public figures like Sachin, Gavaskar, Amitabh, Jaya, Aishwarya, etc.
There is only two class in India - the hardworking who are looted and the looters or looteras.
As viv richards said,Indian public is really ungrateful.Sachin is the man who took INDIA to 2003 final and 1996 semifinal.Why is there only one man in the team.Why not others?Is cricket played by one man?So,blaming only Sachin is just ridiculous.

Sachin has given good performances over the years, he has got lot cricket left in him, in recnet years he has not performed to his full potrential, but there is no replacement for sachin tendulkar even today in indian team, he was the best batsmen, he is and he will be the No 1 for the coming years, i am sure that he will make a strong comeback in the indian cricket team, and will prove a point that cricket not all about the age of an individual but it is all about the determination and hard work and quality. Indian batting order is looking shaky in the absence of sachin and saurav. atleast for 3 more year indian team needs both of them.

Yes these guys have made enough money for many many many life times to come. even today they still want to continue exploiting the emotions and feelings of gullible indians. they have no shame or respectability. they are hand in glove with the bookies, selectors, politicians. There main aim is to collect as much unsrucplous wealth as possible. How many cricketers have given back any thin to the game. have we heard of any of these crooks, sponsoring a talented but poor cricketer, building an academy for young and talented youth or helped out an old and financially poor cricketer of the past. Dont speak too much on this business (cricket). our players are brand ambassodars for several advertisement companys. they forget that they are representing india and start playing for their own beneficial. media people also do lot of business with cricket and really forget that there are lot of things happening in our country apart from cricket. Lets concentrate in eradicating poor and improve our country instead of watching this business men playing in the field.
