i think sourab is lucky to have virendar and yuvraj when they both failed india lost because of them saurab won many mantches and u know sehwag is out of indian team and yuvraj is alo not at the peak so india failing to achieve good results. And in test arena both dravid and VVS played fabulous knocks.I think when azhar and kapil played they were not technically well quipped when compared to current team.In the sense we can in the current team VVS can be good cvaptain give him only 20 matches as captain he can produce greAT RESULTS.
Undoubtedly, he is the best captain india has produced. When he took over, the team was at an all-time low, because of match-fixing scandal. India lost 2 key players, Azhar and Jadeja. Rahul also was not a great ODI batsman at that time. Indian team, at that time heavily dependent on Sachin. It was during Ganguly's captaincy that the dependency was reduced as he groomed players like Sehwag, Kaif and Yuvraj. Another master-stroke was making Dravid keep wickets as there was no genuine wicketkeeper-batsman then. As a batsman, Rahul is par excellence. But, as a captain, he is nowhere near Sourav.
He was a wounderful captain, always a inspiration to the team and aggrasive which gave him more sucess and more young players came up during his times. We miss u saurav
this article is a part of well planned campaign which is organised by some southindian's in favor of dravid. but i would like to them that talent & fact is never hiden , it will be in front of u anytime.. i believe what mani has said is true to a large extent.captaincy requires skills which is present is sourav in a larger magnitude, whereas this skill is lacked in dravid and sachin...under sourav, other teams felt challenged while playing against India, now most of the superior teams think it to be a cake walk.....Ganguly had the capability to think a new way out under crisis..many a times he used unorthodox methods which is not a part and parcel of dravid's captaincy....dravid has a long way to go to match sourav as a captain if at all he does, thats a question to me...creavtivity cannot be taught ...!
Dravid is the BEST captain, player, person, father , son, husband, citizen ...... India ever had and Ganguly just the opposite. Now all South Indians take two pegs sambhar punched with rasam with a dash of coconut oil and banana chips & dance with your lungies on. ENJOY !!!

Let the South Indians dance, but only after their dance is over...................I would like to tell them the truth..................Rahul Dravis is Maharshtrian and not South Indian............Shhhhhhhhhhh! NOW ENJOY!
This is a pathetic article. Thoroughly biased and full of blatant lies. I dont know what this third class website gain by publishing these craps. I, at least, will never turn back to Rediff. Shame on you people.
