Mr.Dinesh i am surprised by ur comment on sachin.U r saying that brian lara as match winner ,but as for the statistics i know out of his 34 cent W.I have one only 9 times And India have won 12 times when sachin scored cent. now its up to u to decide who is great

I fully agree with you on your assessment of Sachin Tendulkar. He was a good batsman, and the best in the Indian team at the time.
But today he is barely sitting on his past laurels and holding back a more able and deserving youngster.
Clearly, even his string of failures do not make him consider retiring with the grace of, say, Damien Martyn.
He comes from the stock of Ravi Shastri, who played for himself first and then for his country.
The boos he got from his home crowd after the failure in the Mumbai test seem to have had no lasting effect on him.
Till we Indians continue to call him 'Great', and live in the past (even Sourav is back now), people like the present Sachin will continue to prosper, while the Indian team flounders.

Do you know, for whom you are talking about, the Great GEnius Saching Tendulkar.
You should be ashamed to write such a bad comment about Sachin. In my and all good Cricket Fan point of view, Sachin is the Great and Genius batsman and will be.
People like you, change like the season and one time, they praise about sachin and during bad form, they critise him.
In my view, you never seems to have 25 yrs of experience in watching cricket. You are at the initial stage. Dont comment, If you dont know.

@ pradeep, No one is great. every common man is great in his respective field. About Tendulkar greatness. I think we indians made him great. and placed him on our head. For tendulkar, better is to retire from cricket and start give coaching to future youngsters.See austrailian cricket team. I admire shane warne's decision. Really we as indians, give much comment on others without realising whether we are able peron to give comment or not. I too admire rahul dravid's leadership role, he protected his players by taking all criticism himself.
Nowday CRICKET become BIZNESS. And we are so much blind in this sport that we forgot, it is just a sport where everyone should have a chance to play in team. See the australians many were in age of 30 and entering team too @ the age of 30 ,because they know that TEAM is IMPORTANT than INDIVIDUAL GLORY.

Every player goes through a lean period. But merit cannot be compromised.If Sachin or Sehwag are not doing well they deserve to be dropped just like Ganguly was dropped.No one should be made a hero.This will only spoil them.It will be a loss for cricket and cricketers
