The decision to drop was correct enough
by Prashanth L on Feb 01, 2007 10:52 AM  | Hide replies

Every admirer of Indian Cricket was bugged with Mongia, and Azhar not playing well. The decision taken was correct and there was no need of this article in Rediff

All that Mongia is asking for is a word from the selectors as to the reason why he was dropped. He did play an inexplicable slow innings that raised eyebrows if that was the reason the selectors must have mentioned it to the player and the public as well. Slectors have to me mor eforthright and bold in explaining the logic for their actions, their decisions are always mysterious and gives rise to suspicion that it could be other than cricket.

Why is Mr. Fixit shocked?
by Ashok Trivedi on Feb 01, 2007 10:49 AM  | Hide replies

Why is Mr. Fixit thinking he was shockingly dropped? We all remember his performance along with Manoj Prabhakar in the infamous ODI against West Indies, don't we? Thank god those days of Jadeja-Azhar-Mongia are done with.

I can only pity the Rediff guys for this article from "Mongia" .Hell wat wer u thinking? Does this bloke even have a semblance of credibility left?? I mean ,there isnt an iota of doubt in my mind that he played for himself.Forget abt the match fixing controversy,The knock which he played with prabhakar was prolly a disgrace on cricket and cricketing spirit.I have never cared
to pen down my viws here,But seeing this decadence in the of depth in content and thus glorifying an denigrated soul like mongia only forced me into it.For heavens sake,be more responsible ,gettin more eyeballs is not the only responsibility for u Rediff guys,Ur in a position to influence the minds of a lot of naive ppl.Provide them with the right content, the right ppl(am sure there's no dearth of inspirational sportsmen) and we wud gladly provide with the eyeballs u so despeartely require!!!
cheers,God bless this country
