Regarding the tour of Australia by the board officials Niranjan Shah had issued a statement to the media that " It is our money and we are spending it on our members". Saw it on Headlines Today.
How SHAMELESS.
How many matches these members, especially people like Niranjan Shah, Sharad Pawar, Ratnakar Shetty and the likes, have played for India ?

yes. selectors on the tour force themselves in selection of the 11. example vengi in earlier tours. so thats good. how can only vengi force the eleven, when 5 of their panel had a say in the selection of 15.
This is another landmark(stupid) decision. Mr.Shah has said that the delegates will go on a rotation basis so that everybody will have a chance to see Australia. The Board is not allocating enough budget for developement of players or development of cricket in the grassroot level but only for these type of luxurious things which will (as rightly said in the article) bring more votes. This is absolutely ridiculous. Because of these type of policies we have a rival league like ICL which was somewhat successful. I fully agree with Mr.Wadekar that selectors must see various domestic matches( for eg Vengaskar must not only see matches played by Mumbai but also matches played by Saurashtra(Cheteshwar Pujara) and likewise all the selectors must do). One is a wise decision and the other totally rubbish. This is BCCI(Board Controlled by Cracks and Idiots).

I agree. If the board took a decision not to send selectors abroad ,it is the folly of vengsarkar in interfering too much in england & dictating terms sidelining dravid which ultimately resulted in draving quitting the captaincy. The VENGENCE SARKAR did not stop at it & dropped dravid from one day squad for non cricketing reasons. In that direction, the decision of the board is really welcome. But sending regional board members by rotation to australia is ridiculous & your definition of BCCI is very apt.
BCCI sucks....Its a pity that we all are forced to stand with this group of selfcentered politicians whose only motive is filling their pockets.Since the BCCI is having this attitude its not surprising that many of our present players are running behind sponsors instead of concentrating on their game. Great show from ICL on their debut. The promoters organised the tournament well. And we were witnesses to some spectacular matches.I earnestly hope ICL increase their teams from 6 to about 10-14 in the next year and they organise the games all over the country so that we may watch good cricket by many of our own talented youngsters who could not get into our national tean because of regional policies of selectors and because they dont go behind BCCI officials with LAKHS of rupees... Shame on BCCI
Sydney 2000 Olympics - India won 1 bronze medal - there was a Sydney harbour cruise full of officials, delegates and their friends and relatives - the party was hosted by Suresh Kalmadi to celebrate India's performance (?) and hard work (!) by everyone involved. I wonder who pays for these junkets and whether someone is accountable for such actions.
This junket for 'delegates' is just another example of rampant unaccountability in the sports administration of our country. Is it any wonder that our standing in international sport is so out of proportion to our size? It is also a reflection of our overall administrative capabilities in other forms of governance. We'll never rise to a world power if we continue like this.

i take the last sentence... sorry for your dreams... i live to earn money for my family... forgot to see dreams..
This is another misdeed un-veiled. They want to please their own members by sending them to forgn trips so they can have a ball and remain loyal to current BCCI bosses. No need to send selctors becuse they will watch coloumns and then write coloumn. As such the final team is more or less always decided.
